Went with friends for pub lunch. Fish was delicious. Friend said pie was homemade and delicious. Good beer fair prices. Nice country village pub.
Dined in the pub on two nights this week. Staff fantastic and pie (both nights) unbelievably good. I can say with certainty that the pies are the best I’ve had in ten years. I love the place. Only wish I was nearer. Well done to all
The food is ok it has recently gotten a new owner and it’s getting repainted right down. It has nice staff and a decent-sized bar and seating area.
Fabulous dining experience! The menu is excellent, with fresh, flavorful fish and seafood that truly stand out. The new outdoor seating area adds a lovely touch, though it can be a bit of a sun trap on hot days. It's a great spot to relax. What really sets this place apart is outstanding customer service, warm, attentive, and beyond expectations. Highly recommended!
Went for lunch with some friends. Never been there before but was made to feel so welcome I could have been one of the locals. Food was beautiful. Excellent service from all the staff. The whole afternoon was fantastic. Really would recommend this place to everyone.
Sunday lunch for six adults and a 2 year-old. Superb. Best I can recall. Very generous portions. They even supplied tub of Golden Syrup with the extra Yorkshire pudding. Then amazing ice creams. Excellent service. Thank you all at the OBH on a very special day for our family.
We called in for a Saturday family lunch and had a lovely time at this warm and welcoming pub. Dog friendly, an open fire and great value food. We'll definitely visit again.
We attended Wednesday Pie Night yesterday. My veggie partner had Cauliflower Cheese pie, one of their new veggie offerings, and I had Lamb and Rosemary, both with chips, though mash, prepared by Amanda's mum, is also available. Both were fab, perfectly cooked cauliflower and 'cheesy' sauce. The Lamb was obviously good quality, really tender, and perfectly enhanced by the right amount of rosemary. Side veg was again perfectly cooked and the chips were lovely and crisp. Great value too at £12 which, includes a pint! Highly recommended, already booked for next week!

An absolute darling little pub with great beer garden, lots to explore for the little ones. Decor is very nice, not overly stuffed with bric-a-brac and every wall and corner has something to look at. Food, the chilli chips and cheese and red onion chutney sandwich, are portioned well. The chilli and the onion chutney made in house, fresh.
