A really mixed visit. A beautiful location with an amazing building, however, the room was tired, the bathroom seemed dirty (lots of black mold) and the hot water wasn't working. I have shared a few pictures including one of the bathroom door. If you stay you may want to take your own shampoo, conditioner and hand soap - they provide a cheap 'multi soap' in a plastic tube. The lighting was very dim and the wifi was so poor that it was unusable. They also use a wifi system that seems to harvest quite a lot of data from you in order to use it. We couldn't get a signal on either of our phones (02 and 3). Not a usable space if you are travelling for work (despite having a desk). The staff member on reception was not particularly welcoming (unsmiling and bored). The staff member on the bar was in contrast fantastic and the waitress during breakfast couldn't have been more helpful. Breakfast was generous and they have an excellent chef.

We came here for a joint birthday family dinner 15 in total, we were given a lovely private dining area tucked to the back of the building; that was cosy and away from the hustle, as there was also a wedding going on. However with regards to the wedding guests, you have to fight your way through them all just to get to and from the restaurant and the garden/reception, it's not really ideal to have 50+ people hanging around a main walkway that's supposed to be for everyone. The food quality is ok in my opinion, and pricing is maybe a bit over considering this. I had a lasagne that seemed like it was more suited for a child (portion wise). My partner had a mixed grill, this was an alright portion according to amount however the chicken was cut in half, and gammon was squared? What gammon is cut into squares?!?! It was all doom and gloom as the katsu chicken, buger and chicken skewer meals looked lovely! And worth their price! Service, the staff are lovely! Quick, attentive and knowledgeable. Though there was one miscommunicated desert item, no worries though my niece still enjoyed it! Ample of parking, though bays are unclear, and ease of access ok esp if there is no wedding on!

We had a great one night stay whilst at the GCR beer festival. Easy walking distance to Rothley station. We had Room 12 which was marketed as having a view but the ‘view’ was just of some dense trees but this wasn’t a problem. Great breakfast in the morning. All staff extremely polite and helpful. Would definitely stay again - great value for money.

We did not stay just went for family Sunday lunch , love the place but very very tired and getting scruffy , the restaurant was only half full and haven Eaton I understand why ! We went at 1.30 prime time !!!! 2in party ( children) wanted mash potatoes, they had non but states on menu they do ( could not have sold out as not many there) when the food came only 4 tiny roast potatoes almost like crisps , they did give more on asking but still terrible quality, no gravy on food but given 1 boat for 6 dinners , again had to ask for more , the bill came to £120 which is not bad but can and will eat elsewhere for same with better portions, better quality and better ambience! Really worried now as a load of us have booked for New Year’s Eve and the quality just not there ! Half of staff very young and new so difficult to complain as felt sorry for them !!!!

The team hosted 27 of us for a 2-day corporate event and we’re nothing short of brilliant. They created a hassle free process from start to finish and their service really shone through! A great experience for us all and thank you!

Our favourite place to go for a drink in Rothley. Absolutely stunning building and grounds, lovely staff, reasonable prices. I recommend having a peek in the chapel if you can!

Nice old fashioned building, in the beautiful town of Rothley. Receptionist was helpful and said we could bring our dogs in. Waiting staff were not friendly and didn't make us feel welcome. For the price paid, the portion size was not enough.

Visited for a wedding and stayed overnight. A great venue for those getting married. We had a comfortable room in the main building and were told that the rooms in the annexe were good too. Delicious food and a good selection of drinks which were usual hotel prices (!)

Absolutely fantastic. We booked for an evening meal in the restaurant and nothing was too much for them. Staff were great, polite, understanding and went the extra mile for the special dietary needs. Food was superb, excellently presented, hot and tasted spot on. All the party really enjoyed the meal and the drinks. Would highly recommend, advise to book well in advance.
