Hobby Horse Farm is a great place for a family date or a relaxed meal out. The Sunday roast was excellent, with a choice of gammon, turkey, and beef, plus a good variety of tasty sides. The atmosphere is welcoming, and it’s an easy place to enjoy quality time together. Highly recommended!

I took my mother for a Saturday carvery which turned out to be very tasty & good value. They was plenty off options as you would expect off a carvery selection., inc roasts, new potatoes, cauliflower cheese, cabbage etc.. The meats we had a choose off was gammon, turkey & beef this Saturday dinnertime. I booked a table which was easy & no problems. I asked for a table not to for from the carvery as my mother would struggling to walk up steps etc with a plate off food which they duly found for us. Speaking off this when they seen my mother with said plate, a polite & friendly staff member offered to help in take my mums plate to her table, even before i could offer myself. The atmosphere was as you would expect for Saturday dinnertime which was a steady flow of customer's. We will vist again.

Visited here as they had a carvery on during the week, try to book a table online but come up unavailable , so decided to go and see as I waited to be shown to a tablet the lady said find yourself a table, so walked round and found a table ,up to the bar to order and staff was talking about other staff members, ie I was listening to them and I heard what the order was I'm not stupid she said to another staff member, then turned to me , can I help ya. Placed my order sat at table and the potatoes , carrots, stuffing, Yorkshire, meat was cold worse food I've had out for ages

We booked a table , turned up and waited at the wait here sign . No one came to help us and after 3/4 mins I decided to talk to the bar for some assistance. Whilst being ignored by 3 different staff members finally some one approached me and I explained I have a table booked. She took us to our table 51 and left us there telling us to order on the app or come to the bar. The table infront then came and the man who was helping them gave there kids menus and explained that the app is not working for 10 mins so they will have to order at the bar. I was wondering why I had not been told that and also more worried at why we have not been given menus. I decided to go and get some menus from a nearby counter and then went to the bar to order. I placed my order and ordered a coke. After being poured I politely asked if it can be topped up as paying £4 for a coke you do want to get your moneys worth . The reply from the lady was sorry it’s company policy not to top up drinks. I was gobsmacked at the reply , such a simple ask refused. Then all of a sudden some other member of staff decided to stick his beak in and also mentioned it is company policy !. Is it not company policy to give great customer service ?? I ask . Funny when there is a dispute all the staff come rushing around like it’s entertainment but when you need one there no where to be seen. On a plus side the food was 7/10 average . Will not be coming here again.

I went with my Sister in Law & 2 Nieces recently. From booking online, to being shown our table & ordering food/drink, everything was swiftly sorted. The grown ups had carvery, & being Vegan I wasn't sure re my options. The lady at the till said I could have the meat free option which was cheaper & to ensure I helped myself to plenty of veg. My nieces had the kidd menu including ice cream. Our lovely Waitress Sam M, made sure we were all ok, offering to collect more drinks food etc & was friendly but totally professional too! We will return!!

A busy pub even on a weekday afternoon. We ordered from the menu, I had a beef and ale pie which has hard and dry. The children's play area consists mostly of coin-operated machines. There is nothing for free for a child at pre school age.

Arrive early 12.00 before peak rush. Plenty of space and everything was well decorated for Christmas. Ordered quickly ( good range of drinks) with ease, 3 carvery and a chicken meal off the main menu. Our order from the menu arrived circa 20 minutes and was a success. The carvery had a great selection of meat, potatoes and vegetables for us to select . Good choice of gravey and sauces too. 4 very happy guests. No room for cake, so we purchased cake to go, which was absolutely delicious and a treat for later in the day. Staff we happy and attentive. Will visit again soon.

Seems like there are spies everywhere! This one's friendly! If I still had 32 teeth I would enjoy the half cooked vegetables more! Avoid a lot of red meat as when I cook it ,it ends up chewy! Perfect Yorkshire pudding is unlike those left over at home eaten with "Strawberry Jam"! Enjoyed it but got my friends order wrong as preferred a salad! Hoped to return today! Not everyone notices this picture near the toilets!

Was very busy, had not booked but was able to get table for 2. Had Carvery it was lovely. Lady serving was very pleasant. Food was hot, tasty, lots of vegetable choices. Waitress was lovely lady, helpful and cheery. Even though very busy all areas were very clean. Always completely wiping all table areas as soon as people left. Well done to all staff.

Very big and popular pub style place with an extensive menu of traditional English pub food, carvery, grill etc. The staff were very friendly and on the ball. It was very busy, being the Sunday after New Year, so there was a little wait for the food to arrive, but it was well worth it. We had pie and mash and smothered chicken. The food was perfectly cooked and tasted very fresh, including the veg, which is something a lot of pubs struggle with. The portions were absolutely enormous! We didn't have room for pudding, but they also looked very good, and are baked on the premises. The place is big enough to have plenty of family seating and a quieter seating area, and indoor and outdoor play areas.
