First time we had food inside, normally we take away and it’s lot better to go in the restaurant. The lamb chops were really good, perfect cooked, juicy meat. The chicken shawarma was also very good. It’s definitely underestimated, he should be a lot busier cause the food is much better than other places
Ordered using Uber eats, didn’t receive the order for over an hour and a half, when I rang the restaurant told me they were busy and seemed not to have a clue about the order. Received the order about 2 hours after ordering and kofta was cold, burnt and dry. Absolutely disgusting food was thrown away and would not order again. Can see from previous reviews that this is something common.
Went in at 4.45pm, only just opened so no other customers. Was very cold asked for English tea or coffee, he had none. Asked for rice & chips 50/50 with the meal, could only get rice and salad and had to order chips extra. The food arrived it was awful, chicken had strange taste like slight tinge of bleach and was so hard he provided steak knifes. It was covered in a mushroom sauce which was slimy, the rice was definetly not fresh, at least 3 days old from the taste. I warm rice at home the 2nd day and still tastes fine but his rice did not. Salad was tasteless, just covered in oregano, maybe to disguise stale taste but didnt succeed. Needless to say we hardly ate anything, so he asked us if we wanted boxes to take the food home ! He should be ashamed serving that food, we didnt complain as he clearly knew that he had served old food . Will never ever return. Wasted £30 to feel sick n still hungry. I guess they must be planning on closing down if they dare to serve food like that. The place looks rubbish, all packaging stacked in corners in view of customers. Sorry i dont like to complain but that food could make ppl actually ill and its a total rip off!
Unassuming restaurant tucked in on Cowbridge Road in Canton which should be far busier than it is. The food is absolutely delicious and even though we stopped twice, I couldn’t get past the chicken shawarma. My daughter had the beetroot salad and her boyfriend had one of the lamb dishes - all so good. I’m not sure about the negative reviews but give it a try.
Had a take away tonight cost 42 pound and was jus enough for 2 people and absaloutly discusting the meat was dry cold and burnt and chips were at least a week old!!!! I Do not recommend!!!!
Love the takeaway here! Good price and huge portion. The aubergine tastes amazing!!
Popped in for lunch on a quiet Sunday. Excellent food at great prices. Definitely be back soon.
