1. The Ranger ★★★★☆

   We visited in Oct 2025 on a Friday evening, pleasant quiet atmosphere. Bit of a wait for drinks as only one bar person in each bar it seemed. The food was great, our entire party enjoyed the food, cooked satisfactorily and rather tasty. Would definitely go back again when were are in the area.

   The food was excellent, we greatly enjoyed our steaks. Desserts were also very good as well. The service was impeccable. We were served by a lady called Helen, who ensured we had everything we needed and double checked if we had any allergies and made sure we were aware of any food that wasn't available.

   Went in on a Sunday evening. Nice atmosphere, food was delicious. Good value for money. Service was very friendly and attentive, especially Jess who was our Waitress.

   Great service and great food only let down by the shortage of staff. 2 chaps then 2 ladies but not at the same time and getting your food or drinks order was fairly slow. Could do with extra hands on. Otherwise the place is spot on.

   Sadly a family Sunday lunch out turned into a nightmare. Lacking in a lot of drinks, seating area was crowded/busy everyone was crammed into one place as there was only 1 waitress and 1 manager on shift. Then the food arrived burnt and inedible. There was no cabbage so sprouts were used as a substitute (nobody mentioned this when ordering) , only 7 carrots per plate (very tight) & as you can see from the picture the potatoes looked like charcoal! Safe to say we won't be going back.

   Visited today.. Staff showed no attempt at welcoming us.. We walked through entire restaurant. We left straightaway. Restaurant basically did not appear too clean and very bland. No atmosphere and staff who couldn't be bothered.. Reading other reviews seems we had lucky escape food wise. Not up to standard of other beefeater we frequent. Don't waste your money or time

   Service was great but half the menu wasn't being served plus some of the drinks as "they didn't know how to make them". Also very disappointed in the quality of food for the price. Won't be visiting again in a hurry

   Do NOT come here for Father's Day ! Or any other day for that matter unless it's on a weekday afternoon ! My family and I arrived at our reserved table at 1:00pm but the food didn't come out until 3:00pm. Waitress was lovely and accommodating, but the lack of communication between the waiting staff and kitchen staff is concerning. My dad ordered a MEDIUM sirloin steak and it came out like this....
