   I ordered a ceiling light and lamp for my new house, our items were delivered very quickly to the store. When picking up my parcel, Danny helped me carry my 2 parcels to my car. I found the customer service to be excellent and nothing was too much trouble for Danny.

   Staff very helpful. Found what I was looking for at a reasonable price. Large selection of quality goods. A large store over two floors with the addition of a Costa Cafe on sight. Clean,bright and airy. A very comfortable experienced.

   In November I looked at a lamp in the Merthyr Tydfil store but they only had 1 and I needed 2. So I paid £76 to order them for an in store collection and found out today that their courier 'lost' the items between the warehouse and the store. They are now out of stock and I can't get any refund until I visit the store. Its a 30 mile trip and apparently shut anyway. Do Next not have any computer tracking on the items their customers have paid for? Why don't they charge for the goods when they actually provide them instead of keeping my money for months and providing me with nothing? Why did I need to chase them up rather than be contacted. Why can't they do a refund by phone at the moment? I'm totally unimpressed with Next and will never order anything in store again. Update: the day after posting this review I received a text saying that the order was ready for collection! The collection process was excellent as I just received the items via a counter in the shop doorway and didn't enter the store. No complaints about the lamps just took ages to get and unnecessary hassle with the process.

   Great store. Although it is based on the typical corporate design of the chain, the staff make a big difference. They make it a very welcoming place through their keen interest in customers and their helpful nature. There is a good range of products, and the children's section is very well stocked with contemporary clothing.
