We’ve cycled past this place so many times but never stopped — and I’m so glad we finally did! What a beautiful hidden gem. The setting is peaceful and picturesque, surrounded by countryside charm. The café itself is warm, inviting, and beautifully designed, with plenty of seating both inside and out. The food and coffee were excellent — fresh, flavourful, and clearly made with care. The brownie was absolutely delicious, rich and perfectly gooey — a must-try! The staff were friendly and welcoming. A perfect stop whether you’re cycling through or just looking for a calm countryside escape. We’ll definitely be stopping again!

Such a friendly team and warm welcome, the Roast Beef & Horseradish sandwich is awesome and my wife indulged post yoga in one of the new Japanese Sushi bowls - happy wife makes a happy life! Will most certainly be returning. Well done team!

Such lovely ladies serving delicious food and drinks with a smile. Lots of seating, inside or outside, shady or in the sunny garden. Lots of GF available.

Lovely location and cheerful friendly staff, but oh boy don’t come if you’re hungry . Think I was charged about £4 for the two tiniest pieces of sourdough toast (wafer thin and full of holes , each piece about the size of a £5 note) ) . It did not touch the sides . Nice butter though . Good toast is important in life and a good barometer of the rest of the menu I’d say , and this was a woeful rip off . Maybe The Borrowers are the usual customers . Who knows . Shame because the place is real oasis of calm with beautiful gardens etc .

Excellent food, nice staff and beautiful surrounding. Had lunch there twice and even took food home for the offspring.

Delightful setting and people all set in a lovely coffee shop. For me the coffee could do with a stronger blend but it certainly won't stop me returning

My colleague and I called in for coffee and cake the other day. The coffees and the cake were simply delicious while the other food available looked every bit as good. By the time we left we were both of the opinion that we had found the nicest coffee spot that either of us had been in. That’s quite some accolade as we’ve been in an awful lot, all around the country, and we have very high standards! Yes, the food and coffee were delicious, but even better was the lovely welcome and chat from the staff. Add both of these experiences to a stunning setting and you have the perfect formula. I’m not sure when we’ll be back in the area, but be assured, when we are, we will undoubtedly be heading straight for The Coffee Shop. Thank you so much for such a pleasant experience.

Amazing location and great history Beautiful place to see and nice food Only thing is it’s a tad over priced but I guess they need to pay the rent etc Had an breakfast burrito and a coffee came to about £8-9
