Finally tried this lovely little Greek restaurant. Sharing starter was fantastic, really good and honestly in future we would probably have that with a couple of sides and be incredibly happy. Four star review as my main was nice but not quite 5 stars for me; it was tasty but a little dry (Pasticio). Service was good, music and atmosphere were excellent.
Great food, friendly staff & reasonable prices. Visited for first time on a Friday night and was so impressed. Nice atmosphere and restaurant was nicely spaced out. Will 100% be visiting again
Enjoyed a solo dinner at the Tholos, and it was absolutely fantastic! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the beautiful and unique design of the place. The warm and professional staff made me feel welcome throughout the evening, and the delicious drinks and food truly capture the authentic flavors of the Mediterranean. The beautiful Greek music in the background made the experience even more enjoyable. I want to thank the entire team for this wonderful experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique, tasty, and beautifully designed dining experience!
Had a fantastic dinner here, the lamb was perfect and fell straight off the bone, my wife loved the beef too. Friendly waitress as well. I'd happily go back!
Looking for a bite at lunchtime we found Tholos completely by chance, we love Greek, so we decided to try it, so glad we did. The food was incredible, a perfect taste of Greece. The staff were so friendly and helpful, advising us on the size of portions (very generous) as we were eating out with our children. The surroundings were lovely, and the food was out quickly, but we still felt at a relaxed pace. The meal was fabulous, we are so glad we decided to go in. If you are nearby, I 100% recommend a visit. We are returning this week to sample an evening meal whilst we are still on holiday. A wonderful place.
First visit to Tholos and overall I was impressed. The owners have done a great job on the design, I really liked the colours, furniture and lighting. The staff were also top notch, very friendly and attentive. It was good to see Greek beers and wines on the menu alongside a classic selection of traditional dishes. Veggies will be happy with plenty of small plates and four mains to choose from. We shared cheese parcels, haloumi and battered courgettes to start, which were all good. The mains not so impressive, the moussaka was a bit light on aubergine and the stuffed peppers a bit lacklustre. They really needed some veg in with the rice and a tomato sauce would have been good. The chocolate souffle for dessert was stunning. Looking forward to a return visit.
I had the veggie moussaka which was really good. I’d also definitely recommend the hummus and the tzatziki! The place is lovely on the inside and the cocktails were fab too.
Thoroughly enjoyable meals! Food was well portioned and tasty and given it being a busy Saturday evening service, arrived in good time. The mains felt authentic, and the desserts went down a treat. As a party we couldn't fault any of the food we had, even those who hadn't eaten Greek cuisine before. Service was good, plenty of staff serving tables, and offering a friendly vibe. The atmosphere and decor was nice; a traditional Greek theme with a somewhat modern twist. The only critique being that there are a lot of tables, at least downstairs, and we were quite close to other parties, which made it feel slightly cramped, but it certainly took nothing away from the experience. Slightly steeper in terms of prices than maybe used to in Bridgend, but the meal and atmosphere warranted how much we paid. Would happily return.
Nice place, well decorated, food ok-ish, calamari where dry, over cooked and too salty and moussaka again bit too salty. I was expecting much better food for price we have paid.
