Really nice spot to go for a nice coffee and chat. The views are great and the staff are very friendly and helpful. There's plenty of outdoor or indoor seating, depending on the weather. Lovely atmosphere.
Absolutely love the cafe at ridgeway. Great cakes and coffee but the friendliest and most lovely staff. They have sooo much patience and have all got to know my autistic son and make such a fuss everytime we go in and let him practice talking. He looks forward to coming for their fruit shoots and chocolate cake!
Amazing cakes. Little bit prices when I went to pay bit worth it as a treat. Love the panini also. Great coffee and atmosphere. Dog friendly which was great . Sat on bench and enjoyed the views.
The cafe at Ridgeway is hands down our favorite coffee spot in Newport! Every visit here has been a treat, but our bonfire night visit this year was truly special. The cafe had a bustling crowd, but even with the high footfall, the staff kept the service excellent and impressively quick. We loved grabbing a hot dog from the stall outside—it was a perfect touch for the evening festivities. The food and drinks are always top-notch here: their cheesecakes are to die for, the blondies are perfectly rich, and the hot chocolates are incredibly cozy and delicious. It’s clear the cafe takes pride in everything they serve. The cafe is also wonderfully kid-friendly, with cakes and kid-sized hot chocolates that our little ones love! Accessibility is well thought out, too; the main seating area and cafe are fully accessible, which we really appreciate. Just note that there are a couple of steps up to the pod area if you’re thinking about booking one of those cozy, intimate spaces. The place is always spotless, and the team goes above and beyond to make sure everyone feels welcome. At The Ridgeway is truly a gem in Newport—amazing food, drinks, and friendly, consistent service every time. Can’t wait to come back again!
What a lovely cafe. Really friendly staff. Lovely looking cakes and excellent choice of drinks. Great location with views. Lots of covered seats if wet. Spot on!
I absolutely love this beautiful cafe, they do need to start catering for Vegans a bit more though as the menu is limited for vegans. Other than that I can't fault it.
Most food items came with bread or we're some sort of a carb like pancakes. It would be nice to have a non-breaded option. However, the food was delicious and a clean pretty place
First visit today, I can’t rate these guys highly enough. Great service, great coffee. I also asked for very crispy bacon on my roll and that’s normally hit and miss when places say yes that’s fine. But today for me but was big hit!! I will definitely be back. Can’t wait to come again.
The new lodges are a lovely place to catch up with friends with a hot chocolate! Food is really tasty and reasonably priced too, and the staff are really friendly.
On street parking just outside Really friendly and helpful service and excellent snack menu. Good cake selection. Few seats at internal bar but outdoor wooden seating and tables plus 6 rather fantastic glass chalets seating 6 are the highlight.
