“Excellent service and beautiful girls serving..fantastic food and great value..would recommend 100%”
“A remarkable place, with space for exhibitions and art studios. They also serve (vegetarian) food during the day; but we were there for an evening event so I can't comment on that. But I'm impressed with the vision and facilities of Barnabas Arts House. I'm sure we'll be visiting again.”
“It's a really nice and friendly cafe. The food is really well cooked and I'm fussy. I eat elsewhere locally and none match this cafe in terms of great value and quality food Friendly chatty staff who disinfect tables as you leave. Very clean”
“Excellent cafe and lots of stuff to do for little ones around. Had a breakfast roll which was reasonably priced and good quality.”
“What a lovely cafe. Really friendly staff. Lovely looking cakes and excellent choice of drinks. Great location with views. Lots of covered seats if wet. Spot on!”
“What a wonderful gem this cafe is. Always full of fresh, high quality produce! The prices are very reasonable too. The staff are always friendly, sure it can get a little busy, but that’s because it’s such a good place to grab lunch, coffee and even breakfast on the go! Highly recommend!!”
“A big hotel with a welcoming lounge, large bedrooms, very impressed with room we stayed in. Comfy Queen size bed. Sofa. Clean bathroom and shower.very quiet too. A huge choice for Breakfast , continental or cooked.£12 taxi to train station.”
“Clean, comfortable with a quirky sense of styling, friendly staff and spot on food this is definitely my favourite place for a bit of breakfast. One day I'll try the dinners, which look excellent”
“Good place for shopping or simply walk around especially during the weekend.”
“Food was pretty good to be fair. It was well cooked and good value. The service was polite and friendly but clearly to atmosphere was lacking a bit. It’s a supermarket in fairness so you get what you pay for in that sense. Overall though, would certainly go again.”
“Amazing place with amazing staff! We love going here with my son. The girls are all friendly and willing to help as much as they can, I love going in so my son can play and I always get to have a great chat with the girls too. Food is also really nice! And not over the top expensive. My son always makes friends while here and most the kids just play together and have fun. We have the unlimited pass for £16 and it is 100% worth it, its great to just take my boy any day of the week, especially when my wife goes shopping (as its inside tesco), me and the lad just go in for an hour or so while she does the shopping in peace and quiet. There is lots to do for the kids and even a section from little ones who can sit up. Music is always playing ranging from pop songs to We don't talk about Bruno, their is also a TV on with subtitles for the mums and dad who are trying to have 5 to themselves while the little ones run around the soft play.”
“Served by a young man who was so polite and enthusiastic! So nice, absolutely made my day. He was really nice and really made people feel good. Good price, super cheap and yummy! Look forward to going again”
“Great service; the waiting staff were really friendly and quick to serve drinks to the table. Great value food - particularly the posh beans on toast.”
“Stopped in after visiting Tredegar House, it was very busy (Sunday @ 12:30pm), but we were able to get a table. I had a hot chocolate which was delicious! Far better than I had expected from somewhere pretty small, my boyfriend had tea which came in a teapot which made around 3 cups of tea. The service was super quick and the staff were friendly and attentive with cleaning tables. You can take dogs into the cafe too, though I’m not sure if all the tables are dog-friendly as some of them had specific signs to advertise that they were dog-friendly (other tables didn’t have this).”
“I went to the pill store yesterday, go through the till I want to use my reward points wasn’t sure how to use them so the lady on the till called some young girl over. She was very rude and didn’t have a clue. I just walked away and left me stood there so they called a lady call Janet. I can’t believe how helpful she was a polite, amazing lady I told a young girl she needs to take a leaf out of this ladies book you You might learn something thank you Janet again for being so helpful”
“A really friendly Italian cafe owned by a lovely Sicilian man. Locals use it regularly. It also sells Italian items like pasta, tinned tomatoes and coffee beans. The menu has a good selection of food and drink items. There's not much parking space on the street but spaces may be available in the surrounding area.”
“What a lovely place. Owners are nice and the food and coffee is amazing. I was really surprised with this place, I think it’s probably the best caffe in Newport and I have tried all of them. Only found this place today. Will likely be a regular.”
“The Arcadia Coffee House is one of a kind. They serve hot buttered crumpets, which not many cafes serve. The decor is fab and original and there is a great vibe. I love their lattes, which are served with lots of whipped cream and marshmallows. Their lemon cake is to die for! Tangy, moist and delicious. Need I say more? The Arcadia is situated at the forefront of Newport Arcade, and once you have have finished your latte, there are a myriad of little shops for you to visit there - each with their their own quirky style. You are bound to find something you like. Visit The Arcadia Coffee House and the Arcade itself and you will not be disappointed.”
“Spent most of a day here recently, eating and drinking. Great properly made coffee, lovely staff, yummy food with lots of V/VG options, and nice relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend for food and coffee.”
“Wow! Came here with my friend today for the first time! Waa such a beautiful bright clean place? Beautiful outdoor space! My ice latte was divine and my muffin was so tasty! I totally recommend coming here! The staff were incredible! Thanks so much!”
“Was not happy, because I thought it had closed down, very happy to see it open. The food is excellent, coffee outstanding and the staff very amiable. August '23 still great.”
“This place is the absolute business. Fantastic. Had beef stifado and salad, glass of red and a Greek coffee. Everything was perfect.”
“Cozy, well decorated coffee shop with a great selection of hot and cold drinks and divine homemade cakes! Haven’t had brunch there yet but all the food coming out the kitchen looked and smelled delish. Lovely staff, friendly and welcoming. Bonus that it was dog friendly too! Lush!”
“First time visiting Bragu Cafe. Ordered the maxi breakfast, kids breakfast, English tea & a Nutella hot chocolate. Food was delicious, especially the spicy sausage & chicken bacon. Everything was cooked to perfection & I'm very particular about how my food's cooked. Modern clean interior, reasonably priced food & drink and good customer service. Will definitely be back!”
“Had my baby shower afternoon tea here. And it was one of the best afternoon teas I’ve had. So reasonable on price and all staff were friendly and the set up was so pretty. Definitely recommends”

“Driven past many times, so I'm so glad I popped in. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Good choice on the menu. Very reasonable prices. Breakfast was very tasty and cooked to perfection. The open fire made it very comfy. Glad I did pop in. Will definitely be going in again. Would recommend.”
“We went here with our oldest daughter for lunch. Absolutely fantastic. Wide choice of dishes. Excellent service from helpful and friendly staff. I wish we had a Drago Lounge where we live in the far north of Scotland.”
“Saw the Rapunzel Panto yesterday. Brilliant show, full of great singing, acting and dancing. Made us all laugh out loud. One of the funniest pantomimes I've ever been to! Keep up the good work guys. See you next year!”
