   Rogue Fox is one of those small, characterful cafés that feels genuinely loved by the people who run it. Tucked just off Clytha Park Road, it balances a cosy, homely vibe with a menu that’s simple but thoughtfully put together. The atmosphere is easily Rogue Fox’s strongest point. Warm lighting, comfy seating, and a relaxed, friendly energy make it a great spot for a slow brunch, a catch-up with friends, or even a quiet hour with a laptop. It’s also dog-friendly and welcoming to families, which adds to the community feel. Their brunch dishes especially the full breakfast, toasted sourdough stacks, and pancakes are consistently popular. Coffee is good quality, usually well prepared, and portions lean generous rather than stingy. That said, at busier times certain items can sell out or arrive a bit inconsistently, depending on how the kitchen is coping. Service is genuinely warm and personable. Staff often go above and beyond from sorting out dietary needs to adding thoughtful touches for celebrations. You get the sense that they care about their regulars and want people to feel at home. Seating can be a bit tight, especially on busy weekends, and the café sometimes fills up quickly. Parking nearby can also be awkward depending on the time of day. If you’re planning a visit, mornings or early afternoons are usually the safest bet. a charming, friendly, community minded café with strong brunch options, great service, and a relaxed vibe. While it can get busy and occasionally inconsistent at peak times, it remains one of Newport’s most loved independent coffee spots and for good reason definitely recommend this place.

   Spent most of a day here recently, eating and drinking. Great properly made coffee, lovely staff, yummy food with lots of V/VG options, and nice relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend for food and coffee.

   Such a cosy atmosphere with lovely service. The Rogue Fox is a sweet family run cafe and the food is great! Comfy armchairs and intimate nooks and crannies give it a homely feel where you can enjoy chatting, reading a good book, and drinking delicious coffee. The Rogue Fox is a great way to escape the hustle and bustle of Newport town for a cosy bite alone or with friends and family.

   We came for the first time today. Our order consisted of the death by Nutella (pancakes), the classic breakfast and 2 drinks (deluxe hot chocolate). For all of this the price was around £26. The drinks were served quickly and the food didn’t take long to come out, both of us enjoyed every bit of it, generous portions, helpful staff and delicious food. I am a particularly picky eater however I found no issues with the food at all.

   Only had coffee and cake but the coffee (their new house blend) was just right and the vegan chocolate cake, I could have eaten the whole cake it was so tasty. Their prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly and helpful. I will definitely go back.

   Had my baby shower here on Saturday and I’m really happy with how things went. Around 30 of my friends and family came, and all commented on how lovely the setting was and how beautiful the food was. A great selection of food and catered to everyone’s tastes. The girls were great, very accommodating and friendly and whatever I needed they helped with. Will definitely be recommending Rogue Fox Coffee House to all of my friends and family and will be back again for some more delicious food and coffee. Thank you so much!
