“We visited Vittorios on a Tuesday evening. Lovely atmosphere, with family celebrations taking place and other groups of people. So despite being early on in the week, and not a weekend, it was still busy, demonstrating it is a firm favourite amongst customers. The staff were, I’m assuming family, and you could get that family run vibe whilst there, which added to the positive experience we had. Staff were attentive, whilst Also giving space and privacy to enjoy our food. Earlier the previous week, unbeknown to me my husband had spoken with Vittorios to arrange a ‘quiet area’ to sit down, so that he could propose to me to renew our wedding vows. We were placed in a quieter area, and my husbands request was managed discreetly without me catching on. Our wine was being brought to our table mid proposal and the young lad bringing it completed a 180 degree turn so fast to give us the space and privacy during the special moment. I couldn’t fault him for this and was impressed by the service we received. They congratulated us afterwards and gave us a complimentary celebratory dessert which was unexpected, but a really lovely touch. All food was hot, delicious and there were large portions. This restaurant is a local gem in Newport, and we are very grateful to have a created a treasured memory during our visit there. 10/10 service, food, and value for money. “We had a lovely meal here. The menu was fabulous and lots of choice. We particularly liked the paella, chicken skewers, prawns and peppers. Staff were amazing and a beautiful place inside and out. Highly recommended”

“The menu is varied with good sized portions especially for Sunday Lunch. A 10% service charge is automatically added to your bill so be aware of this. If you want a cheap meal then this maybe not the place to go, but check their online menu. Tables are well spaced out with plenty of room between them and the chairs we had were very comfortable.”

“Our table was booked for 7.30pm. We early and allowed to sit at our table. We also to order early too. Food was served within 15 minutes. Well presented and very tasty. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Lovely night night for my 60th birthday with my husband. Thank you”

“We tried this fantastic tucked away little restaurant for the first time last night after reading about it online and thought we'd give it a go. We booked a table just an hour beforehand and were told no problem just come along and when we turned up we found it was just beginning to get busy at 7.30pm. The staff were very friendly and welcoming from the first moment and very helpful when I asked some questions about dishes suitable to my girlfriends tastes and needs they were more than obliging in answering. After a very short wait the food itself was absolutely superb beginning with the perfectly fresh and crispy poppadums and vibrantly colourful pickle tray which contained some really appetising and tasty selections. Before long the main courses arrived and they certainly did not disappoint as they tasted just as good as they looked as well as being generously portioned. The spiciness of the biryani that I'd enquired about was just as I'd been assured it would and all of the food was fresh, colourful and full of flavour. The peshwari naan and saag paneer side dish were also absolutely outstanding. The prices also deserve a mention as being very reasonable especially when compared to the other couple of great restaurants we have frequented in newport. I think this place tops those both in terms of cost and very slightly in quality too. The food itself feels very light and somewhat less rich and oily than most other places which we really found to be a bonus as we left feeling much less of the usual "after Indian feeling" that we usually get. We will definitely be frequenting this lovely little restaurant from now on and we wouldn't hesitate at all to recommend it to anyone who gets the opportunity to try it.”

“Loved our experience at Pad, 2 adults and 2 young kids who had a few nice options given one is very fussy. The set menu was everything we love about Oriental food, amazing takes on prawn toast, beef rendang and my wife LOVED the chicken soup. Classy experience and a nice chilled atmosphere. Would definitely come again if we visit Wales.”
