“My first ever visit to a TGI Friday and I was rather impressed. The staff were friendly and management came out to assist with a specific dietary concern with my guest. The food was hot and beautiful, we even met Darth Vader in the reception entrance to the restaurant. The dips are fantastic, the burger very juicy and super tasty. A definite 10/10 and look forward to returning. By the time we left the restaurant it was buzzing with nearly all tables full. A very popular restaurant in Cardiff. Many Thanks TGI Fridays even on a Monday night.”

“TGIs is hands down the best bottomless brunch in newport! I absolutely LOVE their June Buy and purple rain. I'm a wheelchair user, and they always accommodate me and take us to a table where I can just wheel up and stay in my chair. The customer's service is also really good, and Isabelle Amelia is so polite to bless her. Happy staff is a credit to the place and the management x”

“What a fabulous find!! We were staying in Newport just for one night and were so glad for New Ole! We love tapas and this was excellent! The choices looks so delicious and the welcome was so welcome - we decided to leave it all up to the incredible chef! He did not disappoint!! We were spoilt the whole evening by our gorgeous waitress and enjoyed delicious food and wine. Highly recommend and we hope to be back!”

“First time visiting Bragu Cafe. Ordered the maxi breakfast, kids breakfast, English tea & a Nutella hot chocolate. Food was delicious, especially the spicy sausage & chicken bacon. Everything was cooked to perfection & I'm very particular about how my food's cooked. Modern clean interior, reasonably priced food & drink and good customer service. Will definitely be back!”

“You won't find a better place to eat in Newport. It's a little piece of heaven for cheese lovers, not a massive choice of menu. But this is where the old adage of quality and not quantity comes to mind, simple, effective and definitely delicious. The two lovely people (Vern and Emily) who run Holy Cheesus are friendly, polite and always have time to chat with the customers. It's our families favourite place to stop in and get a fix of toasted cheese sandwiches. 10/10”

“After a long camping trip in Wales, we stopped in Newport before heading back home. We randomly parked in front of a restaurant that caught our attention as we had never tried Yemeni food before. It was our first time trying it, and we can confidently say it won't be the last. The man serving our table was incredibly friendly and approachable, and the food was simply amazing. As a starter, he brought us a delicious lamb soup before our actual order, which was packed with flavour. Moreover, the portion sizes were generous, and the prices were excelent. We wholeheartedly recommend this place, and it will definitely be our go-to spot every time we travel to Wales.”

“We visited Vittorios on a Tuesday evening. Lovely atmosphere, with family celebrations taking place and other groups of people. So despite being early on in the week, and not a weekend, it was still busy, demonstrating it is a firm favourite amongst customers. The staff were, I’m assuming family, and you could get that family run vibe whilst there, which added to the positive experience we had. Staff were attentive, whilst Also giving space and privacy to enjoy our food. Earlier the previous week, unbeknown to me my husband had spoken with Vittorios to arrange a ‘quiet area’ to sit down, so that he could propose to me to renew our wedding vows. We were placed in a quieter area, and my husbands request was managed discreetly without me catching on. Our wine was being brought to our table mid proposal and the young lad bringing it completed a 180 degree turn so fast to give us the space and privacy during the special moment. I couldn’t fault him for this and was impressed by the service we received. They congratulated us afterwards and gave us a complimentary celebratory dessert which was unexpected, but a really lovely touch. All food was hot, delicious and there were large portions. This restaurant is a local gem in Newport, and we are very grateful to have a created a treasured memory during our visit there. 10/10 service, food, and value for money. “Cozy, well decorated coffee shop with a great selection of hot and cold drinks and divine homemade cakes! Haven’t had brunch there yet but all the food coming out the kitchen looked and smelled delish. Lovely staff, friendly and welcoming. Bonus that it was dog friendly too! Lush!”

“The food at the Thackeray is always consistent with high quality food. They offer the best roast dinner in Wales! They change the daily specials menu, daily and have unique options. They offer a great selection of drinks - including cocktails and wine. The staff are always friendly and offer great service. Highly recommend.”

“The menu is varied with good sized portions especially for Sunday Lunch. A 10% service charge is automatically added to your bill so be aware of this. If you want a cheap meal then this maybe not the place to go, but check their online menu. Tables are well spaced out with plenty of room between them and the chairs we had were very comfortable.”

“Classic hotel. So much more interesting and comfortable than a premier Inn or an ibis and it was cheaper! The staff were friendly and helpful the room had high ceilings and felt classic with some art deco features.”
