   Popped in and spoke with Steve about an issue with my partners car. Although he was really busy he still found time to have a quick look. Booked it in at the next available slot. He found and fixed the issue for me at a good price. Very nice to deal with and completely open and honest. Will definitely be using again in the near future. Thank you

   I'm sick and tired of car mechanics and associated trades, giving ways on their website to contact them in writing, rather than phone; but subsequently failing to reply. I find it difficult to communicate effectively by phone for reasons relating to a neurological condition. So the chance to be clear and concise via email is a great asset to people like me, if the people I'm contacting can be bothered to reply. Almost always, they don't. I am always polite, and if they return the courtesy, even just to tell me they can't or won't be able to do what I'd like them to do, then that's fine. At least I know I'll have to find another way to get the work done. Here is the email I sent them on 8th July, in my attempt to arrange an MOT under difficult personal circumstances. The only thing I've redacted is my specific location. Hi My car is due its MOT on 26th July. Unfortunately, I currently have a leg injury and cannot drive. The car is outside my house in Longford, so not far from you; but I am in a rehab/recovery unit in ******* (North Coventry). You advertise collect/deliver service. Could you collect the key from me in *******, collect the car from Longford, then afterwards, take the car back to Longford and post the key through the letterbox there? How much would this cost?. How much extra for an oil/filter change? I would like the work done next Thursday or Friday please. Regards, Craig. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Is it really too much trouble for them to reply along the lines of: Hi Craig. Yes, it would cost X£ for the MOT including collection/delivery, plus X£ for the oil/filter change. We can collect the key on Friday, at approx. 9.00am...... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Maybe they couldn't do the days I wanted, but had availability the following week. OR maybe they aren't willing or able to trek about town for my key; so is there some other way I can get the key to them? Or maybe (probably) they really can't be bothered to do anything to make things easier for the customer than for them (even if the customer is happy to pay extra), so the simple way to deal with people like me, is to click 'delete'. Maybe I'll find out if they're able to communicate in writing, after they read this review!
