An afternoon visit after just arriving on the train from a not so sunny London. Great 1st stop. Good choice of drinks and nice vibe to the place owing to friendly staff, how i like my pubs. As me and my pals sere booked into a local restaurant i cannot comment on the food but can say the pots of warm Pork scrathings available at the bar are fab. Well worth a visit........

This is a good pub for drinking and sport and I suppose service. The staff are nice. I come here often but had food tonight for the first time and it is dreadful. Everything is dripping in grease, the chips, the burger, the bottom bun on the burger was saturated from grease. All I could taste was fatty grease on everything. I'll definitely return for drinks and sport but in no way would I suggest this place for a good meal.

The ambience, service and food were fantastic! Attentive and friendly staff. Food was delicious! Drinks were spot on! We’ve just been to London and this far surpassed any pub there! Loved it! The pool tables, the cocktails and food… perfect!

When Brewdog shut until 4pm. Pop into here. Great food and £2.50 a pint Awesome gem and worth the walk behind the town.

What a treat if you’ll looking for a true face of Cardiff. Food was amazingly delicious (high quality full English breakfast & triple smash cheeseburger with chips and coleslaw) and atmosphere truly friendly and heartwarming. Not even mentioning great affordable prices and very, very cool music.

We have been here a few times in the past. Lovely place. Very social and buzzing. The pool tables were busy, sports on the TV and big screen. We all had food here, as did lots of others. Food beautiful service warm and friendly atmosphere really welcoming. We will go here again.

I loved this place, proper pub, exactly how a pub should be, lively, bit of banter with total strangers, pool tables, and good beer, staff that served me do need some training or experience as he poured two pints incorrectly and had to put them to one side by the sink then proceeded to serve me a southern comfort instead of a JD, then he topped my glass right up with coke after I asked for a splash, he's too young and clearly a student, get some proper bar staff, cheap labour costs you in wasted drinks!!

The Sunday carvery stops at 5pm! ☹️ My visit wasn't completely wasted as I got to enjoy a pint of very well kept ale. Nice friendly atmosphere.

Having been here several times over the years I really like this pub, it's got a traditional pub atmosphere with a "rock/metal" theme from the jukebox. There are pool tables and darts and the drinks are reasonably priced. I've eaten here a few times mostly when it's the carvery and thought the food was tasty, the portion sizes were good and at a similar levels to others pubs that offer carverys. The staff are always friendly and you usually don't have to wait too long to be served even when it's busy. Definitely recommend if you like more of a traditional pub atmosphere.
