Plenty of places to eat out in this part of Cardiff. Especially round the corner in Church St - like every premise is a restaurant! But so glad we decided on a meal at The Glyndwr. Yes, it is standard pub far. Nothing too fancy, just honest meat & two veg British food. And you order at the bar. But it comes in generous proportions, piping hot and delicious. And all at a price to suit almost every pocket. We had the steak pie each. Two meals plus drinks each (pint size) came to £36. Can't argue with that. Loads of space to eat in style, a pleasing relaxing atmosphere and attentive staff. I totally recommend.

In Cardiff for a nice chilled break with pals. Popped into The Owain Glynwr for a couple of drinks before heading off to a restaurant which had been our intention on our last night. Glad we did. Great atmosphere, great choice of ales and i forgot how much i enjoyed darts on the big screen. Served by the delightfully welcoming Ella.

Absolutely love this pub! Staff are fantastic, the food is great too. There’s screens wherever you look, and a fantastic range of draught beers/ciders and spirits. However the last 2 Sundays have been slightly disappointing. Last Sunday, post marathon, the pub was cash only, and this week whilst having a refurb, are closed completely! This is despite the giant banner on the side stating “open as usual”! Annoying and confusing for regular customers. I understand that sometimes things can go wrong at the last minute, but with no notice on social media this can be very frustrating. Please do better!

Brilliant bar that serves amazing food. We went with the kids yesterday after being in the beach and spent a few hours in the sun. Highly recommended!! Alex behind the bar was super friendly and a pleasure to talk to. Thanks again

Come in for something healthy, but they had sold out of salad, so I ordered steak and ice cream for dessert! It all come as one, I finished the steak, went for a second pint, and when I come back the table was cleared, including my untouched ice cream. Food was decent pub grub. Not expensive either.

This was a fantastic pub for me and my friend to go drinking at, with a vintage style that the lights and bar contribute to! The Welsh flag is also a neat addition, the staff were friendly and we shared a cocktail on the offer, sitting comfortably at a clean table.

Great City Centre Pub! Awesome atmosphere on a match day too, good prices, entertainment, DJ etc. Good choice of beer. Very friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of seating and tables, bar upstairs too which is great. What you see is what you get, no gimmicks, will definitely return.

Me and my dad went the same time as the YesCymru march was happening and it was packed inside and outside. We managed to grab a table and the food arrived fast, hot and perfectly cooked. The staff were lovely and everyone looked happy. It really made our day with the great service!
