The first time we came there the staff and the food were amazing. Great atmosphere and very friendly. Then the visit yesterday was just as good and food was just as amazing. My husband had a roast dinner and he cleared his plate. My daughter had the mac and cheese with popcorn chicken same as last visit as she said it was delicious. So we will definitely be regular visited

Charlotte, the manager, and the whole team were incredibly hospitable and accommodating for our large group (around 30 people). I ended up changing more than a few orders, and the staff were so adaptable, friendly, and patient throughout. The service was excellent, and the food was absolutely stunning. We had an awesome time, highly recommend! 10/10!

Table of 7. 3 had cowboy burgers, 1 being gluten free. Kids loved them! Other 3 had carvery and they was scrummy! Our carvery server was Johnny and he was great with our youngest kid! Thank you to head chef too who made sure my daughters food was good being off the no gluten menu. Thanks again. First time coming here and great first impressions!

Decided to try food again under new management. Still disappointed. Ordered soup and a roll as it was lunchtime and didn't want anything too heavy. Was surprised by long wait time as it wasn't particularly busy. Soup arrived, there wasn't even half a bowl and was lukewarm. It had obviously been sitting in the kitchen as there was a 'film' on top. Bread was what should have been half a soft baguette type roll, but it was dry and quite hard so had to dip it into the soup to soften it rather than eat it separately. You can see from the photos attached, that I put my spoon in vertically to see how much soup was in bowl. At a guess I would say it wasn't a full ladle. For the price paid it definitely wasn't value for money. Staff did not return to the table to check if everything was okay with food either and music was extremely loud considering it wasn't that busy. Would suggest that management purchase smaller bowls if that is the quantity that is served as it was less than half a bowl. On a positive note, croutons (albeit only 3) were delicious.

Went out for brunch with family. Wide range of food, primarily lunch items which is expected. Good atmosphere -music in the background, news/sports channel playing. Service was friendly and good, we were served by Charlotte. Food is nice, food came out not too long (~30 min). Menu options are limited for vegetarians but there are options. We'd love to come again.

We came here for a meet up for food and beers one evening and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a Thursday evening and there was a quiz on so we've been coming back every Thursday since! The food is amazing; I can especially recommend the burgers; flame grilled to perfection and served with a pile of skinny fries. There's a great selection of beers and my current favourite, Neck Oil from Beavertown brewery. The ambience is pleasant and the music is gentle background, suitable for a conversation. Staff are all very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant also allows dogs inside. Only negative is it's a bit pricey.

First time I've visited and was pleasantly surprised. A lovely atmosphere here with friendly staff. Lots of choice on the menus or just grab a drink or two. Nice space at the back end of the venue to keep the kids entertained. Will definitely make a return visit soon :)

What an absolute let down. We booked a table for 6.30 and arrived at 6.10 to be told they didn't have any Carvery because they sold out at lunchtime. OMG this place will be closed by March at this rate. The selling point is the food so not having any right next to 3 supermarkets is a huge downfall. The decor is old and when the winter bills roll in Marston's will pull the plug on this sad establishment. Why is it the same chain can be so poor is it a Cardiff problem as my other experience's in Llanelli were great !

Lovely spacious restaurant / public house. Clean and tidy with friendly and helpful staff. A very comprehensive menu for food and drinks, reasonably priced too. On my first visit I had the carvery, this was excellent quality and fantastic taste at a great temperature. We most definitely visit again, highly recommended 10/10.

Good pub with food. Large free car park. Very reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly. I had a carvery which was fine. Situated very near Cardiff City Stadium.
