   Once again the Craftaholics enjoyed a superb Christmas meal at the Pendragon Pub in Thornhill. We were a group of 17 and 3 of our group had dietary restrictions which the Pub kindly provided alternative suitable food for which we are sure wasn’t easy on such a busy night so we must offer our grateful thanks to the kitchen staff for accommodating that . We had pre-booked our meals so we arrived at the Pub to find that our large table was beautifully laid up for us with cheery red tablecloth and Christmas decorations to include crackers. It looked very inviting and a good start to our annual Christmas celebration meal. Our group mostly opted for the traditional turkey meal with all the trimmings. The food was delicious. The turkey was moist and succulent. The vegetables were tasty and we were spoilt with the variety : carrots, red cabbage, sprouts, Broccoli stems, all pipping hot and served in hot serving dishes.  Cranberry sauce and lashings of tasty gravy, roast potatoes and a Yorkshire completed the meal.  All in all an excellent meal which we all thoroughly enjoyed. Dessert options were Christmas pudding, apple pie both provided with generous amounts of creamy custard or ice cream. Both were delicious and rounded off the meal in style. Our thanks must go to the serving staff who looked after us so well on the night.  Nothing was too much trouble and their hard work ensured that we all enjoyed a splendid evening. Thank you Pendragon for a great night.  We will be back next year!

   6 of us for lunch. The place was very empty on arrival. Food was poor. We got 50% offered back on one of the mains (lasagne) because it was swimming in oil. Then of the 5 desserts we had, 3 were stale. Service was a bit slow though pretty sure that stemmed from the kitchen. Bar staff/ waiters were friendly and welcoming but only so much they can do. The issues clearly stem from the kitchen and/ or management. Need to do a lot better or they will be gone soon.

   Had my dad's wake here on the 9th of February. I'd like to thank Daniel and all the staff for an amazing buffet. The sun was shinning so we're able to take advantage of the excellent terrace area. Every thing was perfect. Thank you all so much.

   I came up for food on Thursday during steak night and it was delicious! The steak was cooked to perfection and the peppercorn sauce was divine. I was served by Adele and she was lovely. Drinks were nice too and the pub has a lovely decor and atmosphere. Would 100% visit again and recommend.

   OK so much better than many of the pub restaurants in the area. Excellent customer service. Clean, busy and surprisingly good service despite how busy it was. Highly recommend if you like lively places with great vibe. Varied menu and cater for vege/vegans.
