   Very reasonably priced food. I had a vegan curry which was too spicy so I didn't enjoy it. I was with a large group of people and they all enjoyed their food.

   Booked because of the reviews. OMG did it live up to them. I had the veggie/ vegan option. Delicious. Beef looked beautiful,as did the pork Staff were so friendly Look forward to the next visit. Shame the chef doesn't share recipes- that butternut wellington was the best ❤️

   I have been here a few times for the Sunday roast and it's always been amazing. This time was a bit different tho. First of all the staff couldn't get away from you quick enough. You'd ask them for one drink and before the rest of the party could order they were gone. We gave up ordering drinks with them. The starter we got was okay the pork was delicious as always but the oil + balsamic that came with the bread wasn't nice at all. Almost tasted off if that's possible. Smelt like truffle but didn't taste like truffle at all. My roast dinner was delicious that's why there is 3 stars. Oh and to top this all of the guy at the till over charged us! Wasn't by much only £3 but without saying anything and we didn't realise until we had left. Unless you go there just for a roast and one drink, don't bother.

   Went for Sunday lunch. WHICH WAS AMAZING!! Staff couldn't have been nicer, food was fantastic, they even did a Sunday lunch for our two dogs, without being asked. Fantastic pub. I wont go anywhere else next time we're in Cardiff. Loved it. Thank you North Star!!

   I have been here for Sunday dinner a few times now and again today I had a super lovely roast dinner here. The two ladies that were taking care of our order were super helpful and lovely to talk to. Very welcoming. The food was delicious and there’s so much of it which is really great value for money! Everything came out quickly and will 100% be coming back again soon!

   Wow, I love this place. It's huge inside, two pool tables. Staff were absolutely amazing, so friendly and welcoming .We had a Shrimp sandwich, which was beautiful. served with chips in a fresh baguette and gorgeous sauce. Well stocked bar and Estrella on tap. We stayed all day and will definitely return.

   We were looking for a pub with good reviews and this one had some great reviews for good reason. We went here and ordered the baked goats cheese which was delicious, the crab cakes again delicious, the steak sandwich which had a good amount of steak, the fish and chips the fish was fresh and the chips nice and chunky. The chicken curry was a good size with the samosas a nice touch. The deserts which was a crumble was delicious. I highly recommend here and the single staff member was very nice and polite.    Every member of staff I've spoken to here has been LOVELY. if the staff weren't so pleasant I would have knocked a star off. The only really bad point is that I've never had 4G signal, and there's barely any WiFi signal (even though free WiFi is provided yay), I guess that can be great if you're having a phone free time but in terms of ordering right now it's a pain. Please get a WiFi booster guys! However the North Star is clean, nicely decorated, has loads of seating, and a good selection of drinks fairly priced. I haven't been for food myself but I've heard mixed reviews on the veggie Sunday lunch - but great that the option exists all the same. :)

   Decent steak cooked as ordered (which believe me can be hard to find). We also ordered the fish and chips,the fish was huge, the size of a child's arm! Would like to try their Sunday roast as have heard great things. Recommended.
