   We recently visited the Heath Pub after hearing it was under new management, and what a surprise and pleasure it turned out to be. The last time we came, the experience was absolutely shocking, and we had honestly said we would never return. How glad we are that we did. The pub itself is a beautiful building, and now it has such a lovely, relaxed, and welcoming atmosphere to match. For years I’ve heard people talk about a “good” or “bad” pint and never really understood what they meant — until today. I hadn’t realised just how poor a drink I’d been having before, and what a revelation this visit was. We only popped in for one drink and ended up staying for several, which really says it all. Please, please keep the staff, the atmosphere, and the standards exactly as they are. It’s wonderful to finally have a local pub we can be proud of and happily invite friends and family to enjoy with us.

   visited today for a festive meal. service from kylie was amazing! there was a little mishap with our booking but not her fault and totally understandable which she rectified quickly. food was superb and there were plenty of options available for those with intolerances/ allergies. thank you so much for making our festive meal a great time :) will definitely be back

   The Heath Pub is an old-fashioned pub in the cathays area in Cardiff. It’s a classic pub with daily activities. Ambience: The pub is located by the road on a good spot beyond the crwys road, not very far from the University Hospital of Wales. The pub itself is a huge one - divided into 3 areas including an outdoor beer garden. One area is dedicated for the daily events and the other one for gaming and stuffs. The pub has an old- fashioned classic outlook, with classy wooden furniture and a fireplace. It also has a bunch of TVs installed at every corner where they screen sports every time something is on. Activities - - Sundays - Sunday roast for lunch, Dan’s Big Quiz at nights every week (hosted by Dan at 8:30 PM onwards every Sunday is probably one of the best pub quizzes in town, with price money at stake for the winners) - Open mic nights on Tuesdays - Karaoke on Wednesday nights - Games night on Thursdays Live music on Fridays & Saturdays They host these events amazingly well every week, and there are regular patrons who religiously attend them every week. Food: Heath Pub offers a good selection of alcohol, cocktails, craft beer including the Brains - bitter and gold. They also serve food and snacks. Service: The bartenders and friendly and fun, and service has always been quick in serving. They also love to chat with the customers and make the atmosphere look friendly. Drinks Menu options ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Decor ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ambiance ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Value for money ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My verdict: Not the liveliest pub around, but definitely has something in it to attract customers and glue them as regular patrons. Have rarely seen it being crowded except during the events at nights. Would recommend attending the events there.

   We decided to pop in for Sunday lunch at peak time short notice as other pubs had been booked up. Upon arrival we were shocked to see that there was not a single soul having food here - a few were drinking in the front pub-part, whereas the restaurant was quiet. Although it was off-putting being as quiet as it was, the food was brilliant. Extremely tasty - no complaints there. Other than the quietness and an awfully carnival-sounding buzzer whenever the kitchen buzzes the front of house staff, it was a pleasant experience.

   If your looking for A class pub grub, fantastic atmosphere and excellent service….. this is the place to be! I can’t phrase this place enough, nothing is too much for any of the staff. It’s clean, plenty of seating, great selection of drinks and great menu with lots of vegetarian options. Can’t wait to return!

   Popped in at 4pm on Sunday on the off chance that the Heath would still be serving food. Very welcoming and accommodating and served up a freshly prepared delicious Sunday roast! Honestly couldn’t have been a better experience, the staff the food and the atmosphere was lovely! My only regret is not leaving more room for the gorgeous deserts we saw being served! Definitely return again 10/10 from me !
