A nice, cosy pub with a welcoming atmosphere. There are two log fires, one in the restaurant area and one in the bar, which makes it especially lovely during the colder months. Drink prices are decent and reasonable, and while the food is fine, it’s nothing particularly special — good enough but not memorable. In the summer, this place really shines thanks to the large beer garden, which makes it a great spot for a relaxed drink outdoors. Overall, a solid, comfortable pub that’s worth visiting, especially for drinks.

This is a very cosy pub with great seating, friendly staff, and a nice selection of meals. I have been coming to this pub for a long time and have always enjoyed my food. However, I would like to express an air of caution to the owners in regard to pricing. The prices here have increased steadily over the years, and in my personal opinion, do not reflect the product. These prices are London prices, and nobody should be paying £20 for fish and chips. The mains at this venue will cost around £20 each, which is too high. The food is at a decent quality, but it does not standout enough to justify the pricing. Frozen chips were used with a burger at our table, for example (homemade triple cooked chips are available on the menu). I would also like to point out that the festive menu had some odd pricing choices. Many of meals had additional pricing points on them (pricing within pricing). We worked out that, with some of the combinations, you would save around 90p by choosing the festive menu. This seemed a little silly. In summary, a lovely place to take your friends and family, but I disagree with the pricing. Thank you to the staff for being so helpful. X

Cracking place, we did a motorhome stopover there. Had a few beers and a meal which was great, the staff were very friendly and helpful also which is always a must. A nice log fire was nice on a cold and blustery night. Thank u all.

Beautiful pub in a lovely location. My children had three courses which were very well proportioned and they really enjoyed everything they had. Me and my partner had the Sunday roasts which were absolutely stunning. I also had the chocolate fondant for dessert which was gorgeous! Amazing food, brilliant service from all the staff and a lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be visiting again. My daughter even asked if we could go there for all our food!! Thank you for a lovely visit.

First time visit since the refurbishment and new menu. Really impressed! Smaller menu but better quality dishes on offer. Comfortable surroundings and brighter decor. Prices have increased but so has the quality of food. Good atmosphere and helpful friendly wait staff.

Very disappointed with the response from the Plymouth in regards to my resent feed back. Lack of items again available on the menu, this wasn't the first time this had happened. The portion size for the price of this food is not good enough ,£16.95 for the below picture I had not touched this at all. The response I had back from the Plymouth left me speechless to be honest, there were 3 of us that had booked in for food that night and not one of us were satisfied with the overall experience not to mention the response from management that they didn’t agree with any of our comments and said that the below picture was value for money. Had this been dealt with differently I would not of written this review.

So this was our second visit - this time to enjoy a Sunday roast. She had the vegetarian option which was a candied roast consisting of rice, beetroot and seeds. I had the pork belly. Both dishes came with a generous medley of roasted and steamed vegetables. Despite the large plates of food I thought the serving of pork was undersized for the price. Having said that the service was faultless and the atmosphere very warm and agreeable. A charming place to have Sunday dinner.
