   Food cooked to perfection every time, Brilliant chef and front of house staff. Busy atmosphere food came out with hardly and wait time it was just right. Clean lines & great pints too! We had a newborn baby with us and she was snug as a bug and slept the whole 1.45minutes due to the comfortable and quiet friendly atmosphere. Can’t wait to visit again. Festive menu currently on & everyone of our three corses were spot on and great value for money. Thanks to Darren our waiter, we look forward to our next visit.

   Love visiting travellers rest, even if it’s for a bar snack (3 for £12) a pub grub meal, or coffee & dessert. Food is delicious & service is amazing, staff are welcoming and friendly. I’d highly recommend visiting, it’s extra special when the fire is on during the colder days. Thank you Tania & your team for all your hard work.

   The atmosphere was perfect, food devine and the first class. We completed our walk over Caerphilly Mountain and Trig Point and could see for miles over the Egwysian, Caerphilly, the Bristol Channel, Steel Holm, flat Holm and Cardiff. Loved the walk and the well deserved refreshments at the Travellers Rest

   It was good, prices not bad. Service recommended. One needs to book prior visit. Plenty of parking with accessibility to all. Bathrooms available. Wish they could improve on birthday candles. Overall, I recommend Travellers Rest to everyone as menu is also accommodative.

   Very nice and cozy place for a coffee or food. We had Sunday roast and the vegetarian option was very nice. The staff is really lovely and attentive. We booked online which is very easy and they gave us a very nice table close to the fireplace. I will come back sometime.

   Nice looking pub, nice inside. My partner tried to order a cocktail when we arrived only to be told 'we don't do that' when asked what did he mean he response was 'we don't do that'. No explanation as to why not just very blunt. Left my partner feeling stupid as if she asked for something out of the ordinary. If you don't do it then get it off the menu! Very rude! The chicken pie was all puff pastry barely any filling. I ordered the hunters chicken schnitzel which tasted nice to be fair but the meal overall was small in size for the price had to order a side salad to go with it as it came with literally 2 leaves. The mains were a little bit overpriced for what they were especially the schnitzel at nearly £16 and came with a few chips. I was going to order the curry but I seen it was £17 which is unbelievable for chicken curry and rice!! The desserts were really nice though. I wouldn't come here again as I don't believe it's good value for your money. We came as a group of 6 but for my partner an myself our food came to £80. She had 2 cocktails 2 for £12 I had water. No starters. 2 mains and a dessert each, banoffee pie and a modern take on a black forest gateaux which was brilliant i loved that. And a garlic bread which is not on the menu.

   Lovely pub. Lots of outdoor and indoor seating. The menu is available all day and a very diverse choice. We had the burger and lasagna. Both very tasty. Staff very friendly and reasonably priced.
