   Visited stars last weekend and they fitted a battery to my jeep at short notice .Lovely staff who take a pride in the quality of service .I could have gone to a nearer place but I decided to drive the extra 5 miles as I was initially impressed by Dave who came to start my flat battery when he was on duty with my Insurance Breakdown recovery and after coming out 3 times in a month I really had to give some more business to stars … glad I did and will be using them again … well done best wishes from Martin at Heathwood carpets

   My Mercedes Vito van was booked in for a severe coolant leak. Upon arrival I was welcomed by the friendly reception staff. I received a call after three hours to say that the fault had been found. I was quoted a very fair price and I authorised the repair. Considering I was expecting a far higher quotation I was extremely pleased. Stars Garage offer a very friendly and professional service. I was well impressed and would have no hesitation in using them again. Excellent service.

   Great experience taking my campervan for an MOT. Well maintained, clean garage and the staff are super friendly and very knowledgeable. Even had a cup of tea in reception while I waited and met their new Staffordshire terrier rescue puppy! Highly recommended, impressive service provider.

   The hidden gem of Cardiff. This is a garage you can trust and I hope they're around forever. Service is fantastic and the staff are all very honest and friendly. They're a rarity in this day and age and I really don't mind paying a little more knowing what I'm getting is quality service, parts and knowledge. I know I'm in safe hands and will be trusting this garage for a long time. I couldn't recommend this place more.

   I used this garage for many years. I was attracted by the very low MOT price. They are a family firm there is no mistaking. However my experience is that the 'estimates' (quotes) they give you for work required turn out to be half or even a third of the final cost. I really don't see how these can be called estimates if they are so wildly inaccurate. Personally I've had enough and I won't be returning!

   Good but expensive- I have used this garage for nearly ten years and have told so many people how amazing they are…until today. Today I was charged £72 to diagnose a wheel bearing fault….to diagnose a wheel baring fault; thought it was worth repeating that. Sadly the days of free courtesy cars, post work car wash and free quotes are clearly gone.

   I have never experienced such awful service. The considerably abrupt telephonist was very rude when I reminded her that I had a group on voucher (she never asked if I had one on the phone) note don’t sell groupon vouchers if you don’t like people using them. The MOT failed which is an acceptable risk when sending in a car for an MOT. The telephonist then told me that ‘she weren’t going to get a quote tonight’ as she wanted to go home. I received a quote in excess of £1200 which was finalised with the telephonist’s mechanical opinion. It was daylight robbery. I then took the car to another garage and had the brakes sorted (and something else that the car failed on that Stars Garage did not detect) for half the price of the quote. In summary, the MOT was not to a safe standard, the customer service was terrible, the garage clearly charge according to how they feel on the day. I would never use this garage again, and never recommend it either. Note this is not the first bad experience myself or friends have had with this garage.
