I take both my cars here for over a year now, I have repairs, servicing and MOT. Always polite, friendly and a good price. They are always flexible which is important to me as I'm very busy. I will continue to recommend this company to my friends and family.
Avoid this garage. I took my car in after a drivetrain warning, and they immediately jumped to saying it was a “timing chain issue” with vague explanations like the “camshaft is moving” and “chain jammed.” None of it made mechanical sense, and they couldn’t explain the diagnosis properly. Despite this, they quoted me £2,000 for the repair. I got a second opinion from another garage, who inspected the car on the spot, checked the diagnostics properly, and confirmed the truth: no timing chain problem at all. It was simply an intermittent VANOS fault, the car was perfectly safe to drive, and did not need repairing at this moment and the cost was £0 including the diagnostics. So I went from a £2,000 scare-story at this place to a completely free and accurate diagnosis elsewhere. That tells you everything. To top it off, when I went to pay for their “diagnosis,” they didn’t even have a working card machine and only accepted cash or bank transfer, which felt very unprofessional and raised even more red flags. Overall, this garage either doesn’t know what they’re doing or is far too quick to throw out expensive, incorrect diagnoses to young vulnerable women. I’m very glad I didn’t approve anything they suggested. Go somewhere honest and competent instead.
I was delighted that you could service and MOT my Mazda at short notice. Plus the advantage of delivery and collection. The pick up was prompt and, later in the day I appreciated the detailed description of the work carried out and the advisory matters to be dealt with. Along with a punctual return of the car, I was appreciative of the friendly, professional and detailed attention. I will certainly recommend and use again!
This has to be the BEST garage in Cardiff! My MOT was due and I have a membership with Halfords so initially took it there. They found all sorts of problems with the car and then told me they couldn't do an MOT as the SUV ramp wasn't working... I took my vehicle to Capital MOT and they did the MOT (which passed) and gave me all the advisories which I will let them take care of! I'd rather support a family run company, than a big chain like Halfords that rip people off! Thanks so much again to Capitol MOT! Lovely, honest people and the lady who handles all the calls and paperwork (I forget her name) she is such a lovely human! Thank you!!!!!!!
Full serviced car today. No work description and suggestions from the garage. Just received a bill voucher stating full service and total amount which was reasonable. Looking on car even no grease applied on the bonnet and the boot of the car. I don't think the mechanic has top up any fluids in the car, e.g. coolant, brake fluids, screen wash etc. I hope garage email me work details and suggestions and improve their service. Hope the garage takes this review on positive note.
Very friendly stuff and fairly prices, and sort my problems with the price what i been told from beginning no hiding cost or surprises like most of other garages. Definitely i will go back there and recomand.
I thought I will leave a good review after my fourth visit. Every time I received excellent service and repair works done here at very competitive rates. It won’t cost a fortune to service and repair vehicles here. Always the boys were spot on in recommendation and advisories
Unreliable on times, the told me the full service and MOT would take 2-3 hours, I asked them if that's it because if it takes longer I'll get someone to pick me up and they said no 2-3 hours. So i stayed close by and did a few things locally before calling them up 3 hours later and they told me the service was done, just the MOT to go, she didn't seem sure on the phone so I told them not to worry I'll come get the car. Good thing I did, the service hadn't been done and they had 10 mins left on the MOT, I asked how long a full service would generally take and they said half an hour, thinking that's a bit quick for a full service I decided against getting the service and I'll take it somewhere that doesn't mess you about. Won't be back unfortunately.
I've not long moved to the area and have been using the same garage for 10 years. Finding a new garage was a bit daunting but Capital were great, I was able to book my MOT over email really efficiently and any repairs needed were carried out to get my car back to me super quickly.
