Great prices, has many things, and many items in reduced prices! Although I have noticed sometimes the pork belly we buy goes bad even before the “use before” date. Getting an asda bag is a little tricky since the staff keeps running off whenever we try to get a bag haha. I don’t understand the 1 star reviews here, a bit dramatic in my opinion

If there was ever an award for the worst staff and manager(except a few staff) it would go to this store.not even deserving a 1 star having customer service staff that dont have a clue one in particular who seems to not want to help people of colour instead walks off with a face like shes having a stroke. Completely and utterly disgusting! Avoid using this store

There was an ASDA Delivery Van blocking the road that we were driving on. Horned at them and then asked them nicely to move their van but was being very rude and angry towards us, shouting and annoyed at telling him to move his van. Inappropriate behaviour for a ASDA delivery driver to be delivering to people with such disrespect and impolite. Utter disgusting service.

If you ever go in for anything more than 2 items you can guarantee not everything will be in stock. This has been my local supermarket for the last 10 years now and this has always been the case. Also, when an item is finally back in stock please remove the out of stock label so you can see the price. I don't get it, there's always plenty of staff around so why are you always so behind in stocking the shop floor. This will be the case whether i go at 7 in the morning, lunchtime, evening or at night on any given day. I compare this with Asda Cemetary Road, Keighley or even Morrisons in BD8 and Tesco on Canal Road and there is a massive difference

I witnessed a customer being abused by a security guard over a can of alcohol and they got surrounded by staff as well as security which made them feel intimidated throughout the conversation and I can confirm that they did not swear towards the staff, they were calm, amicable and reasonable about the alcoholic beverage. The security guard in the photo made idle threats against the customer to "see them after 6:30" out of the store which is ridiculous! I also witnessed guard telling lies to the PCSO on the way out of the store making lies about the customer as they walked away from the drama the guard caused. From what I witnessed the other day I am appalled by the managers, the staff and especially the security by the way they treat their customers and should be held accountable and ashamed by their actions! Thus I will not be coming back to this store anytime soon and will notify others not to shop there either!

During my visit to the ASDA Shipley store, I had an unpleasant encounter with a female Asian manager who was exceedingly discourteous. When I approached her with a query about a product, she initially ignored me and then flatly refused to engage with me when I repeated my request. Despite my efforts, the other Asian staff members were unwilling to disclose her name, which I find disappointing. This experience was a first for me, and I hope that ASDA will reconsider their hiring practices in light of this incident. If anyone knows the manager's name, please inform me.

We have shopped at Asda for years but increasingly have found queues at the checkouts becoming more and more problematic. My husband was told that he was blocking an aisle. He said he was sorry but they needed more staff on the checkouts. She said she had already put more staff on the checkouts and ‘Don’t you understand English?’ She was probably stressed BUT making racist comments to non English customers is not helpful! Management, maybe there is a training issue here …… but you definitely need more staff on the checkout! You’ve now lost a good customer.

Really well stocked on Christmas Eve; got everything I went for. But, the store entrance really needs sorting out. It's too small, crowded and chaotic for the usual footfall, let alone busy Christmas traffic. Yesterday, customers were smoking, unchallenged, in the foyer waiting for their taxis. And why Asda allow colleagues to skulk on the pavement to smoke on their break is beyond me. Looks dreadful. Can't you provide a space on your own property, away from the passing public?

Great store with plenty of choice and helpful staff. Only negative was the older lady on customer service (think she was called Jane) wouldn't allow an exchange for a smaller size without receipt despite items still being tagged. I explained i had done returns and exchanges before with the receipt and she basically called me a lair as they have never allowed it before. Which was total BS!

This was a massive store to go for some nice shopping in, where the bakery products are presented very clearly in the section! The staff were friendly and helped me use the correct self-service checkout when I tried one that wouldn't work for one item, having a pleasant experience in this clean shop. My bakery treat tasted absolutely fresh, like you'd expect when made on site.
