Sainsbury’s Local on Newport Road is convenient for quick shopping trips, but the prices are noticeably high compared to other supermarkets. While the store is clean and well-stocked, the overall cost can make it less appealing for regular visits. It’s fine for convenience, but not the best value for money.
Let me start with the staff are amazing at this shop but unfortunately there’s an issue with drainage in the shop and the smell of raw sewage is unbearable to the point that the staff shouldn’t be subjected to them conditions neither mind the customers. I’m surprised they haven’t been visited by environmental health and shut down with the fresh goods and bakery etc
Great little shop but most the times I go up there and look for something I want it's never there & never have it in stock. They need more staff to keep the shelves stocked up & they should of closed to shop & moved stuff around on there own time not the customers.
Gone down hill. The carpark is a right mess and could easily be confused with Lamby Way tip. Lost count of the amount of times I've got wet due to a broken downpipe at side of shop. Only saving grace is Andrew a very polite and helpful member of staff.
They really need to sort things out in this branch of Sainsbury's local. With exception of the chap with the ponytail, all other staff seem to be disinterested and either playing on their phones or carrying out their chores when I go in. Costa machine is down more than it is up, and lenses on the barcode scanners on at least two of the self scan tills never seem to be clean enough to scan my nectar app.
Clean and tidy store, well stocked and organised. Polite, friendly and helpful staff.
Bit bigger than average, better choice than most branches.
Very poor customer service, they got my Uber delivery wrong, man who answered the phone.. did not care.. I lost over £10.. rubbish!!!! Never use again!!!! Stay aware people!!! A not my problem attitude!!!!
Plenty of choice of goods to choose from. Reasonable prices. Staff are all very helpfull. A very clean and bright store. Rest room on both floors with Cafe on ground floor.
