Ideal location off the motor way . Staff very helpful and friendly The rooms were cosy,warm and clean The food in the restaurant was excellent. I ordered a Caesar salad which actual had anchovies in it (as it should have ) It’s not often you get that so I was impressed . Would definitely recommend and stay again .

I stayed for one night while traveling for work. The room was very nice, warm and comfortable. There are tea and coffee facilities in the room, an iron an ironing board. I loved the shower, unfortunately there wasn't a hair dryer in my room. Dinner was lovely, breakfast is a typical hotel breakfast, various options for everyone.
This place is fine for a stopover, the reception area is nice and has a decent bar. Our room was a bit tired and could really do to be refurbished. Staff were all nice tho and breakfast was fine. Not great, but definitely adequate. And the car park is £4 per night….
Hotel nice clean, all staff friendly. . We didn't sleep great but I can't fault the hotel they didn't know what kind of neighbours we would have partying until 5am. . However I won't mark the hotel down for that. They did knock on there door for us but soon as the staff went they carried on... the hotel beds comfy smart TV great and overall great place
Booked because they allowed dogs on booking told dog would get bed, food and treat. Well there was a bed of sorts in room that was it had to go to reception and ask for a bowl for water. But the biggest problem was paid extra for late check out 13.00 hrs and cleaners knocking on door at 11.10 saying I had to leave told them late check out, then at 12.00 reception called room to say checkout was 11.00 informed them I had paid £20.00 more for late check out. Reason for late check out was husband was working and getting back before 13.00. But at 12.50 cleaner at door again wanting me to leave so with dog, rucksack, suitcase etc I leave the room thank goodness for kind gentleman who helped me down the stairs. Then when I asked for bill for drinks previous evening they tried charging for stay again that had already been paid. Plus side bed was comfortable but bathroom was in need of attention 3 star maybe but not 4.
I booked a superior double room, just for this hotel to try and palm me off with eva single bed, they then told me to go for dinner and they would try and sort the correct room. Went for dinner which took an age to arrive and when it did it was cold. They did eventually sort the room out but by this time it was 21.30. Not a great experience all round.
We enjoyed our stay but we're very disappointed in the man who greeted us for breakfast, he followed us around and kept standing near our table or when we were getting coffee etc with his arms folded. He also got my partners breakfast order wrong. This was our only grouch on an otherwise flawless visit but it did spoil our breakfast time together
Had a lovely time at this hotel during their New Years event, themed to Peaky Blinders. I can't comment on the rooms or facilities as we didn't stay here overnight, but the event itself was fantastic! A lovely meal, very well organised from start to finish and very friendly and chatty staff! I'd definitely be happy to attend a similar event at this hotel in the future!
