“Great, knowledgeable people who care about animals. They have x-ray facilities and do some operations on site. Part of a local chain, with an animal hospital in Halifax for out-of-hours services. Offers a 'pet plan' for a direct debit of about £14/month, which includes all flea and worming treatments for the year, and also the annual vaccination. The practice was recommended to me by a friend, and I have recommended it to others.”

“Used to be our regular groomer for Junior the staffy haven't visited in years, went today and it was like nothing changed. Dog was at ease. Vicky is one of the nicest groomers we've ever been to! She's a dog owner herself and would never harm anyones fur babies”

“After a lot of searches looking for someone to look after our Bulldog for a few days we came across this lady My wife phoned her arranged to meet up and the rest is history Charlotte looked after Wilbur in her own home along with the other dogs she looks after, she kept my wife updated every day with photos and short videos, and the main thing is Wilbur was happy, highly recommended”

“The staff are very informative and helpful. They stock many types of food for your pets including other things from toys to coats to bedding. The one big thing i love is the free allergy test and this can be repeated over and over again as your pets needs change.”

“Was referred here by my vets as my Labrador Arnie has 2 different cancers in 3 places. The care from ALL the staff has been brilliant. I cannot thank them enough for the attention they give Arnie. Pulling up to the vets Arnie gets over excited in the car and drags me through the door and knows exactly where he’s going. The staff seem equally as excited to see him. We have to visit quite often as he had 5 rounds of chemo, with blood tests a week later and a couple of CT scans thrown into the mix too. We have been there almost every Monday for the last 4 month and every time is exactly the same level of excitement for both Arnie and the staff. For all the medical treatment that Arnie goes through, the fact that he still gets excited to be at the vets is only testament to the personal treatment of Arnie. Especially Giulia! The way she treats Arnie and the way he acts around her is amazing. When ever I am faced with options on treatment I have absolutely no hesitation in taking Giulia’s recommendation. She treats Arnie as her own so I am entirely confident in her recommendations. I’d honestly prefer not to hear the options available but only her opinion as that is what I would go with 100% of the time. I honestly hope nobody reading this has ever a need to go see them. But if unfortunately you need their services then stop reading and call them up. Theirs no where else I would ever go to so long as Giulia and the team are still there.”

“I visited Calder vets in Mirfield today for my bunny. The service provided by the veterinarian and receptionist were amazing. My rabbit was treated by Iwona who was so kind and helpful, and I could clearly see she cared about peaches (my bunny). Amazing service I couldn’t be more satisfied x”

Not only did Tavi look at the issue my cat had gone in for but looked at two other little issues as well. Not only is Tavi a great vet he is also a nice person. “The RSPCA Halifax was really helpful and understanding about the dog we had chosen. The staff helped us chose the correct training leads and the harness for her. They explained to us how to look after her feeding pattern as she was underweight. Also if we had any problems they offered afrercare all we had to do was ring them up. Most professional. We would recommend them.”

“My Boxer dog Ernie went to Holberry Hounds for the first time earlier this year and he absolutely loved it. He isn’t that keen on having a bath so I was worried about him going to a new groomers, but I didn’t need to be. His whole experience was fantastic, he was put at ease and even ended up enjoying it. He came home looking like a show dog and smelling beautiful. From a human perspective, Holberry Hounds are professional, friendly, easy to contact and offer a great experience for both you and your dog. “The team at Donaldson’s have been totally brilliant with my young working border collie’s recent paw injury. Pip was in pain and very scared and so difficult to deal with but at every stage this was worked around and managed brilliantly. All vets and nurses were so thorough, professional and kind, and Pip was treat like a VIP. Communication was great, a CT scan and surgery were arranged really quickly, any questions, concerns and needs acted on straightaway, and everything possible was done to minimise stress and handling. The surgery was precise and fully successful, post-op bandaging was particularly impressive and didn’t move a millimeter despite his ... energy levels! Pip is recovering super well, back loving life in the fast lane. Huge thanks for helping my crazy boy. ”
