“Superb overnight stay . Perfect from start to finish. The staff were so friendly & welcoming and are a true asset to the place . We enjoyed a beautiful Sunday lunch on the evening offer with the wine . Everything was tasty, well presented and of an excellent quality. The bedroom had tasteful decor with a country feel . It was spotlessly clean and was an appropriate temperature for a great night's sleep. Breakfast the following morning was hearty and again all products were of excellent quality . We will definitely return again when in the area as the whole experience was perfect .”

“I found Debbie after searching for a local dog groomer and after reading all of the wonderful reviews left by her other clients. I was a bit nervous about taking my boy for his first grooming session but she is obviously extremely well thought of - and for good reason. Debbie was very welcoming as soon as we arrived and I felt at ease immediately. After some initial excitement when we first arrived and my dog sniffing every square inch of the salon, he soon settled down and he came out an hour later looking extremely handsome, fluffy and smelling absolutely amazing. “Lovely couple running the B & B, very warm and welcoming. We had a dog with us, the owners had done their work before hand and knew the dog before we arrived. Beds are warm and comfortable, and free wifi was good too. We will be using them again. Thank you for lovely stay.”

“Location was perfect, 5 mins drive from Hudderfield Private Hospital. Hotel and room very clean and well equipped. The staff, especially Maggie and Sarah were delightful. Very friendly and professional. We had received some unsettling news and needed to get off some urgent emails. They assisted and were extremely helpful and empathetic. Housekeeping were ace too and slipped a courtesy note under our door, would we like our room xleaned, we had forfotten to pop the Do not disturb sign on the door. Ibraham was in attendance behind the bar and he too was a joy. We are returning to the area in the very near future and without doubt this is where we will choose to stay. Entirely exceeded our expectations.”

“We had been out walking yesterday and we popped in here for a drink and ended up staying all night. The outside area is great and pretty at night with the lights. The drinks are reasonably priced and good. We met lots of people we hadn't seen for a long time and had a really fab evening and even though this is not in our area, it is definitely going to be our "go to" pub. Really good music and atmosphere and a fabulous, fun and welcoming new Landlady called Andrea. We will be back!”

“Very comfy place just nicely outside the city centre. We'd travelled over for the Magic Rock vegan festival and, luckily, Magic Rock brewery was only a few minutes walk away. Very welcoming and helpful, the room was clean and had a pleasant view of the garden's, the place is dog friendly so our pup came too.”

“Me and my partner went today for the 3 course meal. 1. The service was brilliant 2. The food was absolutely delicious 3. Location was gorgeous We will be definitely going again also noticed the Christmas dinner was 49.95 So might book for that.”

“We have just collected our dog from Andy’s today after she has spent a week there. This was her first decent stay with him and his family, after having a couple of trial days previously. It’s clear that’s she’s absolutely loved her stay!! We couldn’t be more pleased with the service, and at a very reasonable price too! We’ve had regular updates and it’s been so lovely to hear that she’s had lots of play time with the other dogs and lots of walks, both of which she adores. She was so pleased to see us when she came home but after her tea is now sparko which indicates how much she’s done this week. What a wonderful holiday she’s had! Thank you Andy and family for making Coco part of your pack for the week, it’s wonderful how much attention and love she has had from you all and she can’t wait to stay again. “Jayne is like an extension to the family- a “home away from home” for our Cavapoo! It’s amazing to have someone reliable, trustworthy and so in love with our dog for when we go away. She loves seeing Jayne and the pack for at least a weekly walk and we love getting fab videos and pics! I wouldn’t go anywhere else x”

Lennon my doggy really feels calm and at home when he goes to K9 Kutz, Michelle is so gentle and caring and grooms the dog in a really calm and quiet environment. She does a fantastic job and is very professional. I would highly recommend her services as a dog lover herself, she really takes her time and makes Lennon feel special. One Happy Customer who will be using her dog grooming services again and again.”

“"don't judge a book by its cover" A warm and pleasant experience we had with the family during our stay. The grade listed building has been renovated to a high standard with decoration to match. The rooms are extremely spacious compared to your conventional high street hotel ones and the service provided was second to none. Children had ample space in the rooms to relax and loved that bathroom interior. All in all a fantastic hotel, in fact one of the best ones we've been to in recent years and would definitely recommend to friends and family. Sometimes its nice to have that personal touch with your getaway and the staff definitely went above and beyond in their duties.”
