I am a wheelchair user who is 14. I sit down on the couch to have a rest as my legs are hurting. The man rudely approaches me and instructs me to leave as I’m not with a parent. I tell him I’m disabled and am I able to sit down for 5 minutes to rest. He says I don’t appreciate the “lip” and instructs me to leave right away. That’s probably why they have a store closing sign up because they treat there customers especially the minority disabled ones in such an awful way.

“Suite Dreams”? Worst Nightmare would be more apt! We were told that our items would take 1 - 2 weeks to be delivered but the weeks drifted away and excuse after excuse followed, each one contradicting the last. Finally gave them a deadline for delivery which we were assured would be feasible. Needless to say, and entirely predictably, the deadline passed without any sign of our items, despite being assured that “he was out in the van and will be with you shortly”. In short - they lie and have absolutely no clue what customer service is. We await a refund. AVOID!

Based on my experience, please don’t bother with this company. They delivered a suite with cheap foam filling (confirmed in an Emmiera technician’s written report and verified by the Furniture and Home Improvement Ombudsman). Fortunately, I successfully made a Section 75 claim through my bank, as the suite was bought with a credit card. When I initially returned to the store to make a complaint about the poor quality of goods, I was told they couldn’t do anything, as Suite Dreams had gone into liquidation and that the store would be closing. That was 8 months ago, and they're still there. It could be argued that I was lied to.

Avoid Suite Dreams at all cost!! They lie, nightmare to get hold of and never give a straight answer. Long review but it took us over 5 MONTHS and so much stress getting this sofa: We ordered our corner sofa beginning of April 2023. We asked the seller for a LEFT hand facing sofa (we pointed to the one on display and took a photo of it). We were told for the colour we wanted, it would need to be made (not a problem) and it will take 3-4 weeks to be delivered. Well 4 weeks passed by and not heard anything. Went into the shop for an update and was sent away being told someone will ring me back with an update. This never happened. 4 times in a row I was sent away with no answer. They come up with the same excuse of “ oh I’ve been away I’ve only just gotten back..”. No one can communicate within the business let alone talk to their customers. During this time of waiting, my dad came with me to the shop to ask for an update as we were getting endless empty promises of phone calls and heard nothing. We got kicked out of the shop for trying to make a complaint (note we were very calm considering the situation with the order) which was incredibly embarrassing and distressing. 9 weeks we waited for our sofa after being promised max 4 weeks. There was no apology, no updates. It felt like they just take your money and don’t care about customer service. Our sofa arrived and it was completely wrong. We asked for a left hand, they ordered us a RIGHT. The Velcro on the foot stool was poorly attached and we asked for silver feet on the sofa. We got one out of 12 as silver the rest was black stumps. We went straight back to the shop and spoke to Rick (the owner) and he said he would rectify the issue and order us a new one. He said it would take 2-3 weeks. 7 weeks later it arrived. During this time there was zero communication. I had to go in to the shop every week for an update. They kept telling me it was being delivered next week but it wasn’t even made so they just tell you it’s coming next week when they haven’t got a clue and can not be bothered to actually find out the true answer. The replacement sofa arrived. Finally the right way but the feet were again an issue. Still no silver feet but wooden stumps this time. The manufacturers just can not read an order correct and have zero understanding of what “quality control” is. Waited 6 weeks for an answer of getting the correct feet I originally ordered. Went in 3 times and was told they would ring the manufacturer and get it ordered and promised it would arrive a week later. Went in only to be told that the manufacturer has now discontinued the ones we wanted but the shop couldn’t be bothered to ring and tell me this. Went in to collect another style ordered, to be told they had sent the completely wrong ones again and I have to wait even more for the correct ones. In the end we asked for a plain black one to at least match the rest and walk away because this issue is just not going to get sorted when they order and collect the wrong ones on multiple occasions. If they said from the start it will take 9 weeks for the sofa to be made, I would have been less angry with this company but they lie and don’t give you any straight answers. They have zero understanding of what customer service is. Every time you go in to speak to someone, you get the same excuse of “oh I’ve been away for a few days/weeks. I don’t know what’s been going on. So I’ll take your number and call you back” which they NEVER do. They just take your money and go silent!!! NEVER shopping here again ! Don’t waste your time, breath, money with these people!! There were a few negative reviews when we bought the sofa so thought we would give them a chance and shop local. Since then there have been a ridiculous amount of negative reviews of people going through the same nightmare we are and went through hell to get this sofa. Believe all the negative reviews, they are true!

*DO NOT BUY FROM THEM*!! Don't waste your time. If I could put 0 stars I would. I read through the review before I brought the sofa and though I take the risk. I wished I had listen to the reviews now. Worst experience I have ever had with a company and caused alot of stress. They never call back, don't keep to promises and don't get what you paid for. Brought a sofa from them in April said 2 week delivery turned into 6weeks. After a lot of emailing and calling for updates. We was promised delivery on 3 different days never arrived. Took time off work. Had to constantly contact them and they never called or emailed us back. Never gave any updates on the sofa. Paid for Gold delivery for 2 people to carry sofa up to our flat and assemble. Only one person arrived my partner had to help carry up, bring it in and assemble. He has Arthritis that's why we paid for gold. The sofa the arrived with no legs then the wrong legs was left outside our front door two days later, they didn't knock. Tried to contact them about the legs. Couldn't get hold of them by phone call or email, after a few days managed to get through to someone who Promised a refund on delivery and the right legs. To this day we have not received the right legs to put sofa and had no refund.

Ordered a 3, 2, and 1 seater sofas, was told would have to wait for 1 seater to be made and it would take 2 weeks, first part of the order delivered on time but with no communication, driver just turned up on the day. Waited 3 weeks and no sign of the 1 seater. I called the store, no answer as the store was closed, called the emergency number listed on the answering machine 8 times and even text it, no answer, so I go to the store on a Saturday, speak to 2 gents who claim not to know about my calls or text message, so I open the text And call the number, surprise surprise one of the gents phones ring and he ignores it. Left the store with a refund of the cost of the missing sofa, today I received a call from them out of the saying I gave them the wrong order number and the order number was for 7 chairs...... Checked my Info and again and I the copy of the receipt that I still have and showed them when I got my refund, I gave them the correct number. Total shambles of an experience with them. I would say avoid but the sofas I did receive are good quality.

I was so excited about using a local firm. After much unresolved issues. FURNITURE VILLAGE has come to the rescue! Beautiful new sofa in 5 weeks. If anyone wants a cheap, uncomfortable with many issues sofa then your more than welcome to have it free as it's only use is to take it to the tip. Thank you Furniture Vllage for excellent service

Good instore service, very helpful and good deals. Until delivery! Bloke turns up and leaves the mattress by my front door, I said "are you going to bring it upstairs?" His reply "I'm on my own and don't have too" then left! I'm disabled and it's taken me and my young boy nearly two hour's to get it upstairs!
