Stayed here while visiting University of Leicester. Welcoming receptionist. Rooms are nice enough, older building so some odd shapes. Did find the room to reception route a bit of a mystery. Staff were all nice. Breakfast was good and it's served to you, so not a buffet. Lots of spaces for car parking. Would possibly stay here again, great places to eat nearby, handy for Leicester Uni.

I had to organise a school reunion for 34 of us who left in 1980. Sian was brilliant at organising everything that I asked for. On the day, Moanie was fantastic, making sure everything ran very smoothly and sorting out a lovely oval table for the 18 of us who wanted breakfast the next morning. I can’t praise every member of staff highly enough. The room we used was perfect as were the rooms we slept in.

Very rare to stay at a hotel which exceeds your expectations but this one did. Staff very friendly, rooms clean and not "tired" as often found in larger hotels. Breakfast was amazing, not the pre prepared keep it warm buffet which is normal but a member of staff serving you individually from the hot buffet. Free on site parking an added bonus and yet so close to the centre of Leicester and to the rugby ground.

Can't recommend it highly enough. Took my 90 year old grandparents here for lunch to celebrate my grandma's birthday and the staff and food were amazing. The food was delicious, high quality, there were plenty of veggie options, gluten free etc, and it was clearly cooked well and by someone who cares what they're doing. I didn't get the name of the man working in the restaurant but he was so great with my grandparents and they were able to modify the menu to suit my grandma's needs so a huge thanks to all the staff today. We all absolutely loved everything about our experience and we're super impressed. Oh and the birthday dessert for my grandma was a really lovely surprise!

The room we stayed in had a really cool space theme as a tribute to the National Space Centre. The space ship bunk beds would surely be a hit for young children. There was a bit of a wait for having warm breakfast options but there were croissants, fruits, cold juices and yogurt for those in a hurry. Location is very convenient - near the uni, train station and city centre.

Really good location. Fantastic rooms for the price. Hotel is of a high standard for the price. Staff are very friendly, especially Callum on reception. Breakfast is fabulous, all cleaners and breakfast and bar staff are outstanding. I will definitely stay here again. We really enjoyed our stays here, we have stayed on 2 separate occasions for 4 nights each. I would definitely recommend.

Visited for an festive afternoon tea with the family. Very friendly staff and excellent service. The afternoon tea was very tasty, lots of little cakes and the scones were amazing. Would highly recommend if you live in Leicester and want a reasonable priced tea.

The rooms were large and clean to a high standard. They also smelled really good which is always nice and noticeable when you first enter to a new environment. The service at the reception was really good. We arrived late so we had to call the phone but other than that we were treated very well for arriving at 12 am. The location is not ideal if you are looking to go to the city centre often and don't like walking, but it's really easy to access and not that far. The reason I'm giving 4 stars is because of the breakfast, as it lacked some variety (only few items available) and the entrance not being very accessible as guests must go around through the side entrance which is understandable due to renovations but there were no specifications of this when booking. Overall, this is a great hotel to stay in Leicester.
