We've stayed at many hotels in Leicester and this has been the best! It's clean, modern, friendly staff and a good breakfast! The room had all the important amenities. The lady who checked us in on Thursday night was amazing! Thank you for taking care of us and wish I remembered your name.

- No bottled water in the room. - Fridge in room was empty, so no mini bar. - A diamond earring was accidentally dropped down the bathroom sink and we were told maintenance does not work weekends, which is very strange as surely the busiest times for any hotel are the weekends. We were told we would have to wait till Monday, but we were checking out Sunday morning. Plus, the sink was instantly unusable as this would have flushed the diamond earring away. My partner ended up taking the u-bend apart and we retrieved the earring ourselves, but very unimpressed with the hotel lack of help! - we came back to the hotel bar at 00:45am for a nightcap after a family birthday party. It was just my partner and I. The bar was still open but we were told that as they were doing an early 'end of shift cash-up' we had to pay by card. We only had cash so then we were told we had to pay the exact monies. Why do this early when you still have guests ordering? - We asked to have our night drinks booked to our room as we thought this would be easier than the payment debacle and were told they cant do that!? What hotel can't put your food and drinks tab to your room?? Ridiculous. - the night bar manager spoke to us aggressively. Even her colleague asked her "why you in a bad mood" and she went on to tell him and us (we were sitting at the bar) that a previous guest has put her in a bad mood as he called her 'dumb' and spoke to her rudely. It was not professional at all to hear the manager talk about another guest like that to new guests... also, no matter what her experience with any previous guest you NEVER carry your bad experience with you when talking to new guests. I was very unhappy with this terrible customer service and behaviour. - At breakfast the bread loaf had no cloth over it to hold the bread whilst cutting the piece you want. So, multiple people had their hands all over the bread loafs. Disgusting and very unhygienic. So we didnt have the choice of bread at Breakfast. - On checkout, when asked how our stay was, my partner mentioned we had some issues, as we wanted to give verbal feedback via a conversation and the man behind the desk didnt respond and just turned away back to his computer. Totally uninterested. Its such a shame as the hotel looks like a 4 star hotel and the room was fine, but its a 4 star hotel with 2 star staff! We travel a lot and this hotel was a massive disappointment and we do not recommend it to anyone.

Service was great by front of house staff as they answered all my questions. They were very helpful in even showing me recommendations locally. The location is great as youβre in the heart of Leicester and can walk everywhere. The rooms themselves were clean and modern but there werenβt enough towels or bath products in the room.

This hotel is really top! IΒ΄ve been here several times on business trips and has never been disapointed about the rooms, cleaness or the service. One thing though, I would like to see the breakfast a bit improved. In particular the bread, cold sauges and the orange juce. But the rest is nice! Will come again

A very polite and helpful staff. The room is comfortable, well isolated in terms of thermic and sound, and clean. The breakfast is amazing with a good amount of options. The hotel location is good and the shopping in front makes it a plus. The only cons is a lack of a proper pick up/drop location for taxi/uber forcing the drivers stop in inappropriate places. In my case, it was a terrible experience since I was with my 1,5 years old daughter.

Sadly it was just the breakfast that let the stay down, otherwise would of been 5 star for all. Bacon really fatty , sausages under cooked, fried eggs under cooked, hash browns cold and the scrambled eggs looked absolutely disgusting never see scrambled eggs like that before, didn't try them and strangely the mango smelt/tasted of fish? not sure what that was about. So was all good until we headed for what we were looking for, the breakfast.

Visited at Christmas 2022, rooms are a good size, clean and well equip. Centrally located is excellent for shopping and a visiting the local bars. Parking is a available a short distance away at Β£10 per night. Strangely bar was closed at 23:30 for residents and only room service available, not really good enough for a hotel of this standard. Health and safety is a major issue though. Previous guests had taped over the fire alarm. Reported this to house keeping and it has not been resolved.

Great location, great quality. Espresso maker in the room is a fantastic touch. The staff were incredibly polite and attentive. I would seek out this hotel and grade of room if I were staying in other cities and a similar price.

Very nice hotel, with enthusiastic, service focused staff. Rooms clean and comfortable. However, we had searched out a Novotel after a previously stay at the Novotel in Leeds, because that one had a never-seen-before automatic pancake maker which made my son's stay. Sadly this one doesn't, though hopefully they will get one in future!

We had a lovely stay at the Novotel in Leicester. The hotel staff are very welcoming and attentive, nothing too much trouble and any problems rectified immediately. The lovely waitress at breakfast had a hot plate waiting for my husband every morning as he likes a hot plate and his food piping hot, also offered to microwave for a few seconds if required. We also mentioned to reception that the food wasnβt quite as hot as it might be, the next day it was clear they had made every effort to make sure the food was hotter. We were also a little disappointed with our room as the shower hand set didnβt work properly and just a few minor decor issues but again this was rectified immediately and was moved to an executive room. The hotel is on a very busy road so traffic noise can be a little bit of an issue but ideally located for everything we needed so wouldnβt let that put us off for next time. We will be frequent visitors to Leicester as our daughter is doing her degree in Leicester so have already booked for December but will ask for a quiet room if possible. Really lovely hotel, very relaxing and a lovely pot of tea. Rooms, bar area and restaurant are all lovely.
