I was literally bleeding on the floor in A&E before someone stopped the bleeding for over 30 minutes. Staff was rude and the PA should learn from her mistakes and not get angry at patients. Please avoid this hospital in your in an emergency it could literally save your life! I wish I never went there and I will very unlikely chose this hospital to return to if I need emergency care. please use neighbouring hospital this has gone down hill so much.

I have just been discharged from A&E Royal Glam. I was admitted early evening on Saturday. Later in the evening, the waiting room was horrendous, that is not down to the staff but down to the "Patients". This continued throughout my stay. The staff are under extreme pressure and not in the conditions they deserve. More needs to be done by Governments at Westminster, allocating sufficient funding and Cardiff to make sure the money is used correctly. This is not a Political Post, this is to remind people that WE HAVE THE NHS, let's treat and fund it wisely. I gave 5 stars, for the STAFF, who were exemplary in nursing me on this occasion. I cant name all who nursed me but two of my nurses were Lina ( not sure of spelling) and Charlotte from St Mellons (Llanrummy). Charlotte you were special, you made me realise how much of a vocation Nursing is. Thank you A&E Staff, keep fighting.

I was transferred to RGH from POW Bridgend following emergency treatment on 21-10-2025. I'm absolutely in awe of the dedication and kindness of the staff at the stroke unit and the specialist s who support them. Thier workload is relentless and extremely challenging, I am so grateful for everything they have done and continue to do for me, and everyone here. I can honestly say that they are very special people who deserve recognition for the work that the do. I will forever be in you debtm

Had a rubber grommet stuck deep in my ear. Attended Royal Glam A & E and booked in with an extremely pleasant receptionist. Only waited a few minutes before being called to triage where a very pleasant nurse sorted me out sympathetically and with a sense of human. NHS takes a lot of stick these days but both these ladies were a credit to the profession. Sorry didn’t get their names but for reference about 9.15pm 14th October arrival and out on the way home by 9.25pm, brilliant service with a smile

My mother was takes by ambulance to A&E on 17 September after a fall at the care home. She remained at the Royal Glamorgan hospital and was transferred to the palliative care unit a week later and passed away the following day from advanced dementia. The care and compassion my mother and my sister and I received from all the doctors and nurses in hospital and the palliative care unit was exemplary. Everyone was so kind. A special mention to Kelly in A&E. She did a little dance at the foot of my mum’s bed, it was the last time I saw my mum smile. Dementia is such a cruel disease, I hope a cure is found one day.

The care given to my mother in A&E at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital was really good. I would especially like to thank Nanette the nurse who was the main person looking after her. I can't praise her enough. Excellent

The care and expertise that I have received over the last five years from the Colorectal and associated departments has been excellent. My thanks are definitely insufficient to adequately express the true debt that I owe the medical staff for their exceptional care. I could not have wished for better. Thank you all.

The care given to my mother from A&E was exemplary. She was seen and admitted very quickly. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The wards are very well run. In the days of the NHS being in such a mess, this hospital is an example of how things should be done.

I went to A&E at 6am on a Wednesday with severe eye pain, I couldn’t physically open it. I waited 5+ hours to be seen whilst in agony only to be told “sorry you need to go to Specsavers they’re more equipped, we can’t help you” after I respectfully said I can’t leave as I was effectively blinded in pain, I had to plead for help! against their “advice” and being frowned at I finally got through to the emergency eye clinic, it turned out I had a very large and painful corneal abrasion, temporary blinded in one eye with excessive inflammation that required antibiotics and steroid treatment including 4 follow up appointments! The A&E team I dealt with that day were entirely negligent and the wait in A&E was appalling. Thankfully the eye clinic doctors were much more considerate
