Myself and 2 friends stayed here for one night for one of our friends birthdays, I asked if they could put happy birthday in the room, which they did, rooms lovely, view to lake beautiful, animals nice and friendly made a friend for life with Mr larma lol, Lady on reception was very nice and helpful as was all the staff we spoke too. Would definitely return, would be good idea if there was a was I've making the breakfast room work for them in the future.

I really loved staying here. The only thing letting down The Lodges is the maintenance.. all my friends rooms and my own had issues with the heating (not great when temperatures were dropping to near 0°). There was no blanket supplied, so we slept in our Oodies. The hot water was hit and miss. The fancy lighting worked on the first night, on the ceiling only, but was stuck on blue for the rest of the time. On the plus side, the view is outstanding! The peace and quiet is gorgeous, and the bed was extremely comfortable!!

Absolutely stunning!! Booked this for my partners 40th birthday treat and it did not disappoint. Room was lovely and clean with everything you need. Hot tub and decking area well maintained and view was beautiful. They have some very friendly animals that you can feed (fish food and animal food you can purchase from reception) all staff was lovely and friendly. Highly recommended and will 100% be returning x thank you all xx

We stayed in a double twin room, the beds were comfortable and very clean and we really enjoyed the view of the lake. Staff were very friendly and approachable, we met the housekeeping lady who kindly stocked us up on lots of tea for our two nights stay! There was a very strong fishy smell on the carpet in one area of the room, where I think fisherman put their fishing tackle. There was an issue with the condensation after a shower, leaving everything very wet whenever any of us needed to use the loo afterwards for ages, everything was very wet to the touch. The balcony decking could also do with a deep clean as it didn’t feel clean enough to sit outside so we didn’t use it. At night the room was extremely hot but the window didn’t open and we couldn’t adjust the heating/aircon ourselves despite trying for ages, and no way to get in touch with anyone, so we had to leave the balcony door slightly open to get cool air, which meant the lodges cat paid us a visit at 2am which was a shock (we love cats but not ideal). We would have fed this back on checkout but there wasn’t anyone at reception even though we checked out on time, which also meant there was nobody there to buzz us out of the gate when we were trying to leave. Not a massive issue but a bit inconvenient! Overall, a nice stay, just a few improvements needed!

This was booked as a birthday surprise and oh my what a surprise it was. It was my version of heaven, the beautiful lake with the ducks as well as fish, the trees, the lodge overlooking the lake was nothing more than spectacular and the room was filled with all the latest gadgets you could need, complimentary water & tea/coffee, big bed and a mini fridge. The show stopper was the hot tub, it was WOW, chilling in the hot tub overlooking the lake and trees. I would 100% recommend and we will be back, we loved it

Myself and my partner had the pleasure of staying here back in August of this year. The location is very remote and quiet which is perfect for a few nights getaway. The views of the lake from our room was absolutely stunning and we loved the fact that we could interact with all the animals and the fish in the lake. Upon arrival I was greeted at reception by a lovely woman called Alice who throughout our stay was more than helpful and went above and beyond when we needed something. Alison is an absolute credit to the establishment and I hope to meet her again whenever we make a return visit. Our room was very comfy and had plenty of facilities. The facilities on site where also very good aswell as the breakfast we had. Overall a very pleasant and comfortable experience with Alison making us feel like we where at home. I couldn't recommend this place to anymore to anyone reading this. We hope to see you all again soon Thank you!

Great staff super helpfull nothing too much trouble went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had what we needed after we booked what we thought was room with hot tub but apparently Late Rooms had not advertised correctly but all was sorted very easily no hassle at all. View from room amazing looking over Lake which was lit up at night, full English cooked breakfast in morning . When this venue is fully finished and exterior grounds cleared it will be stunning, but still a comfortable welcoming place to stay overnight Brilliant receptionist too !

Great place with amazing views. Rooms are good and the location is very peaceful. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The in house restaurant serves lovely food. The only negative I would say is that the decking/hot tub area has a lot of spider webs and looks poor. It will just take someone 10 mins to clear this and then it will be perfect.

Our stay at Waterfront Lodges was OK. Brilliant greeting at reception, helpful staff. Our 2 bedroom lodge looked fantastic as we first walked in - good sized beds, jacuzzi bath and walk in shower, Alexa controlling lights etc throughout, decking with view over the lake. But when we took a closer look, unfortunately it was not as clean as we would have liked, especially with 3 children running about and one crawling on the floor. The carpet was dirty and smelly in the living room and the sofa had a smell of dog. The bathroom has ingrained dirt around the skirting and just generally felt a bit dirty. It just needed a deep clean and a paint job to make it good. However, beds were comfy (apart from the bobbly and bumpy pillows) and the lodge was a great size for us all. The terrace was a nice touch and very peaceful in the evening, however there were weeds and stinging nettles growing all over it and could have done with a bit of gardening to make it look good. Breakfast was good, we didn't mind helping ourselves to juice or toasting the bread. The animals at the reception - emus, goats, chickens and a pig - were a nice idea and the children enjoyed going over to see them. Shame about the spaniels that were wondering around and got very annoyed when we came down to breakfast, running at our children at full speed and barking loudly. Not ideal when one has a severe fear of dogs! They shouldn't be allowed around guests , especially with young children, if that's show they behave. Overall, an OK stay. Lodge could have been brilliant but needs a bit of work.

The room was great, good size with a double sofa as well as a very comfortable bed , everything in the room you could ask for.My only negative was couldn’t turn the lights off underneath the curtain rail, did ask Alexa but didn’t understand our command, also heating came on in the morning, it wasn’t even cold outside made the room a bit uncomfortable. All in all a lovely tranquil place to stay and a good choice for breakfast
