I just wanted the thank all the staff for a wonderful experience their hotel last weekend. Friday to Monday room 4049. The room and breakfast were amazing. Phenomenal place! I couldn't get over the size of the place and also how beautiful it was. Staff were lovely. We had an event at the NEC. Super convenient as we were already parked up and ready to attend. I can't think of a bad thing to say. A huge car park, stunning entrance, reception and restaurant/ bar area. So much to fill your needs. I didn’t get a chance to see the pool or gym due to a busy schedule however my friend and I were saying that it was the perfect place for any NEC events. And definitely one to remember for Christmas dos. You wouldn't feel the need to go anywhere else unless you were into the whole clubbing scene. My clubbing days are over. Not my thing really anymore so I would be happy to stay on the complex and enjoy the social drinks in the restaurant/bar area! Loved the Christmas decorations in the reception area. A nice touch! Highly recommend this hotel! Great all round stay!
Yesterday, I had one of the most memorable experiences at this hotel. The hospitality and customer service were incredible. A lovely staff member named Lillian went above and beyond to make me feel special. It was one of the most cheerful moments I’ve had in a long time. Thanks to Lillian and Hilton, I’ll definitely be using your services again.
Very Disappointed – Not the Hilton Standard The first room we were given was freezing and the air-conditioning didn’t work at all. We had a very bad night’s sleep. The hotel is in a noisy location, but the real issue is how poorly insulated the rooms are. There was a Christmas party going on, and it honestly felt like the noise from the road and the party were inside my room. Even when people walked past the door, it was extremely loud. The rooms are outdated, the windows are thin, and there is practically no noise insulation. For a Hilton, this was incredibly disappointing and I will not be returning. The hotel doesn’t even have a fridge in the room or USB-C ports for charging, which is standard in most modern hotels now. To be fair, the front desk staff were very polite, friendly, and accommodating — they were the only positive part of the stay. But the hotel itself desperately needs updating. For comparison, I recently stayed at the Genting Hotel and it was amazing — best stay I’ve had, with a lovely spa included. Overall, very poor experience. Would not recommend.
Definitely not a 4* hotel. We booked in at 5pm requesting a twin room and was informed Housekeeping would be advised to split the bed. We said no rush and went for food and our planned event. On return to the hotel at 10pm the coffee/snack bar had closed and there was only drinks from the bar which had a crawling queue spilling into reception. We decided to retire only to find the bed had not been separated! Trying to get hold of reception via room phone was nigh impossible. On answer was told someone would be sent to separate the bed… and we would receive a call to let us know when. Waiting a further 15mins with no call back tried again. Eventually a Maintenance man arrived just gone midnight! This kind of service would not be acceptable in a B&B never mind an International Hotel. Do not stay here for £221 overnight no breakfast… definitely not value for money.
Check in was quick, Hannah at reception was friendly and nice. The hotel was quite full with people having Xmas parties so it was very busy but everything worked well and they had enough staff. The room was nice, comfortable bed, great bathroom (ours had a bath and a shower but shower very small) The executive lounge is also great with food and drinks provided throughout the day. The pool and spa area was fantastic, the pool temperature was perfect and it is very big. Breakfast was very busy but still manageable and had all sort of foods however the English breakfast was quite cold. Also 2 out of the 4 lifts we tried did not work. Would stay again!
Stayed here over a weekend (Fri-Sun) for a conference. The venue took me by surprise at its level of service and quality. I've stayed in Hilton's before and usually ones outside London are...tired? Not this one. My room was spotless and for the first time ever there was more sockets and USB ports by the bed than I knew what to do with! The breakfast options were extensive including an omelet and poached egg station. The conference facilities were top notch and the food was overflowing. Don't tempt me with a cooked breakfast and then follow it up with a mid morning break snack of bacon rolls. The staff were great too. My only critique which isn't unique to this hotel is the cost of drinks. A pint of coke...£4.50! A large glass of house wine...£11.00! But, for that to be my only issue, you're deserving of 5 stars. Fingers crossed I get to visit again (with a hip flask).
Nice, clean rooms with helpful service. The food was good with a decent selection and the services (pool, Sauna etc.) Were pleasant and easy to use. The location close to the airport is convenient if you are travelling and you can walk through the convention centre to get there. It is a little fiddly to navigate with a wheelchair and the convention centre staff didn't really know where the disabled access routes were so bear that in mind.
Stayed here during a convention. The convention practically took over the hotel but all the staff were welcoming and tolerant of what must have seemed like bizarre events going on around them. We were lucky enough to get an upgrade for our room which was a modern one and allowed us access to the executive lounge. The lounge was a real treat with free drinks and food in a beautiful setting. But the staff in the lounge were the best bit and really made te experience special. A shout out to Kim who was especially welcoming and went above and beyond for all the guests. It was a lovely treat during our stay. All the food we had in the hotel was tasty and again, the staff were top notch. The chef even went out of their way to make the fish and chips dairy free for my husband. A huge thank you to all the staff for making our stay so wonderful. We hope you will have us back again!
