We had a lovely stay before jetting off. The hotel is clean and comfortable, with simple rooms that do exactly what you need them to. The food was good and service was excellent — special thanks to our server Gaurav, who was attentive, friendly, and made us feel very welcome. A great, hassle-free stop with everything done right. Would happily stay again
Stayed at the Novatel BHX airport. Rooms were cold even when you turned the heating up but other than that the service and location were fantastic, straight across from the airport terminal. Had food in the hotel restaurant and Mukesh looked after us. He was amazing and friendly and couldn't have done more. Thank you.
Choose the budget Ibis as it was only a place to put our heads down before our flight in the morning. Check-in process was easy. The room was basic but comfortable and clean. We ate in the restaurant, met by Matt who was extremely helpful and friendly. The only downside was the room didnt have a hairdryer (I know first world problems) but I haven't let this influence my rating. Overall it is good for the price I paid, I would stay here again.
Not enough electrical outlets in our room and the sink was blocked. We had a meal in the ground floor restaurant which was great, I had chicken burger, son had the same and hubby had the ribs which he said was very good and tasty. The waiter was friendly and very professional, guessing Matt is the supervisor or manager as the rest of the staff didn’t seem very happy although Matt was jolly and friendly. Matt was smartly dressed and very well presented, a few of the others could do worth buying an iron/ We will use this hotel when we return from our holiday.
Room was basic and no kettle but it was clean. Food in restaurant was lovely. We had the curry and next day had the beef lasagne. Service was great! Everyone was helpful and friendly which made the stay enjoyable. We would've liked to have been closer to the NEC but the hotel was definitely good enough. Thanks.
Let's face it the only reason you'd ever stay here is because you have an early flight. So the location was perfect for that, everything else? Meh Oh an yes, the upper sleeping level (bunk bed) may well comply with all safety standards if Ibis weren't to add a second mattress to take it beyond the safe mattress height and level with the rail. Which genius thought of that?
It caters for a lot of people so you have to be prepared to go with the flow. It was good but I did have to be patient when queuing to check in and ordering my food in the restaurant... You can see when the staff are under pressure. My room was clean and adequate but there are no frills, ie no tea making facilities. The great thing is that you literally fall out of bed and your at departures...very convenient and exactly as advertised... Budget!
Great overnight stop before flight. 3 min walk to airport. Friendly staff, comfy, if a bit small room, breakfast plentiful and ok. The no kettle complaints unfounded because free tea coffee etc available on first floor. Would use again.
Excellent location in Birmingham airport. Very basic room, but the beds are comfortable, rooms and other areas are all clean and well kept. Convenient bar and restaurant located downstairs, and shops at the airport are just across the car park.
The budget Ibis is well placed with departures just a five minute walk away. The room was basic but clean with no coffee making facilities. The restaurant was fine for an evening meal but the menu choices were limited
