   I was welcomed by Terry the manager. He is an absolute legend. I had previously stayed at the Mercure Newport the week before and had an amazing experience and was given a room with the river view. When I returned the following week I requested the river view again but the hotel was fully booked however Terry and Emma made it happen. The restaurant staff are also amazing, super enthusiastic and great explanations of the dishes and they also gave great recommendations… the food is good for hotel food but personally I wouldn’t order the peppercorn sauce again

   We had a delightful stay at the hotel. Very clean, great views and pleasant. Staff is very nice and super helpful. Prabha was very friendly and made our breakfast extremely enjoyable. He is very customer oriented.

   I was happy with your guys service, i stayed on the 11th of October, I was checked in by a staff member named Richard. I’ve stayed at many of your hotels across the U.S. and Europe, and I’ve never experienced customer service as exceptional as Richard’s. He was incredibly accommodating and went out of his way to make sure our room setup suited our needs. I truly appreciate his professionalism and attention to detail.

   Breakfast was delicious! Room was super clean and lots of water pressure and hot water. Close to a lot of great pubs and places to eat. The best part were the beautiful views of the city from rooms. As mentioned in other reviews, there really is no place close to park. It isn't a really a long walk, only 2 blocks. However, the views from your room make up for it. Definitely worth staying at.

   Hotel was very clean, Great Location in the city, Comfy Beds and the shower was very good. Perfect for any Rugby fans travelling as it is close to the rugby ground as well. Also the Cups in the room are pretty cool. Some of my friends actually bought them :)

   We absolutely loved our stay. The hotel is very new and everything was in pristine condition. You could literally smell the cleanliness walking around the hotel. The view from our room was amazing! The decor was really very luxurious. The staff at the hotel were incredible! Every single member of staff that we met from reception to housekeeping to the breakfast staff went the extra mile to ensure our family's stay was fantastic! We would love to visit again in the future. Thank you

   All round excellent! The room was clean, nicely decorated and very comfortable - and also very quiet. The bathroom was spotless, and everything worked as it should. One point dropped as the windows had fingermarks all over them on the inside, but other than that, I couldn't fault it. The staff are really friendly, and the restaurant is excellent - very good food, reasonably priced. Breakfast also excellent. This is one hotel that I feel very comfortable staying at.

   Booked 5 rooms at this hotel in Dec 2022. All the rooms were spotless, nice and with modern decor. The bathrooms were particularly good. The reception staff were very friendly and were happy to adjust check-in/out times to suit our needs. Breakfast was great with a good selection of hot food. The staff were so helpful, they made sure that we had everything we needed and went out of their way to cook additional vegetarian options for us. Highly recommended, would definitely stay here again! Do note that parking is at the local shopping centre, approx 5 minute walk away. You have to pay for this separately, but this is common for hotels situated within town centres.

   I really loved this hotel !! Very brand new ,they just opened in Apr.,I believe .I booked one twin room .The room had many charging outlets, so that I could charge my phone & boil hot water for my tea at the same time & both night tables had one ,so 2 people can charge their phones / laptops while resting in beds !! The electric tea kettle was a stainless one ! And with measurement indications inside ,so that was very helpful !The room was posh / modern !! Grey / light green decorations. The beds were very comfy !! The view from my room was AMAZING( panoramic ,I could see the Newport city footbridge & bus station ,etc.)!!! Also ,you can get the panoramic views from the restaurant & roof top ,too !! The shower was very easy to use / powerful ! Super clean / modern. In the hallway, there were motion sensor lights ,they lit as I walked in ! So ,very eco ! They had a very good restaurant which had very nice selections of vegan foods & the Chartist burger ( vegan ) was delicious !! I am a new fan of English mustard !! So~yummy !! Also,I had creamy mushroom pasta dish there ,was also very good ! They had a risotto that was a vegan dish w/ butternut squash.They also had spiced sesame broth noodle & you can add tofu in it ,also a vegan dish ,meat eater can choose meats to add . They also had vegan desserts !! But,I unfortunately didn't try 'em, my big regret !! The staff were all very friendly there !! Also the very good location was a plus !! ( very close to both train station / bus stations ! )Not many people knew about this hotel ,yet ! But ,you can spot it from a far away !! As it's the tallest building in Newport !! I highly recommend this hotel !! Esp.now as the room rates are very good as they are promoting since newly opened !! I stayed there in late August ,I only paid around £68 / night !! That's about $ 88 !!! A bargain !!
