Me and my partner have stayed at this Hotel quite a lot recently and every time we have stayed here we have had a really good experience. The receptionist Fara always makes us feel welcomed and we always have a friendly chat, she is very polite and generous and makes our stay even better
My experience was great, clean room and helpful staff. The only thing I'll say for you to make sure about is the distance from the city center - it is about fifteen to twenty minutes walking to get to Newport station.
Cancel your booking before it’s too late!! The room had mould and piss on the floor. The toilet seat looked like it was built for someone with legs like sticks and not the thick kind of sticks. The lamp on the side of the bed looked it was going to explode and it aslo looked like mike Tyson had a few rounds with It as it was dented and decaying. Holes in the wall, chalk and gooey black stuff scattered across the room. WHAT MORE COULD YOU WANT!! There was even a cute pet mouse in the halls. They were also flys and I felt very uncomfortable sleeping here
Absolutely appalling – avoid at all costs We had a truly dreadful experience at this hotel. The management had authorised a private party on the ground floor, and the noise and vibrations were so intense they reached our room on the second floor. After a long and exhausting day, we were desperate for rest, but it was impossible – the noise continued until 3am, at which point the partygoers caused a fight and the police had to be called. The room itself was stifling hot, even with the fan on. The windows were completely useless – they offered no ventilation at all, and we couldn’t leave them open due to the unbearable noise from the party. Staying in this hotel felt like torture – and we had to pay for the privilege. The owners clearly prioritise making money over the comfort of their paying guests. To make matters worse, reception repeatedly lied to us. First, they told us the party would end at 10pm, then said it would be over in 30 minutes at midnight – neither promise was kept. If I could give this hotel a rating of -10, I would. It was a shocking and miserable experience.
Staff were very friendly food was fantastic excellent service definitely recommend staying in this hotel
Tbh i don't know why people book this and expect a 5 start hotel like mate is a 3 star hotel, the staff are sick, the rooms are clean and the hotel very near to town what more can you ask if you want a 5 start experience go book a 5 start hotel
I made a booking on the same day as my proposed stay, A flight was missed and as soon as possible (within 3hrs) contacted the premise to ask politely if a refund could be considered seeing as I was not even in the country. They held firm on their booking policy, accepted the cancellation, made the room vacant and available. NO REFUND was given. They were also contacted before this review was written to further discuss with a decision maker. Basically consider this chain to be the hotel equivalent of Ryanair.
I had a very small but cosy, clean room and the bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately I was next to the stairs and could hear people up and down the stairs all night. I didn't pay very much so I got what I paid for and wouldn't be put off returning for further one night stays but for luxury this is not the place. Sweet place but needs a refurb. Staff are lovely.
Brilliant room very clean exactly what you want if you’re looking for a low budget stay. The location was only a ten minute walk from the city centre, lots to see and do! The room was perfect size, clean, fan to keep the room cool, Netflix, lots of storage space, and comfortable bed with white clean sheets. When we arrived last night we were greeted by a wonderful receptionist, she was so friendly and super helpful with any questions we had as we haven't stayed in Newport before. Me and my partner would definitely come back if we stay again, as we loved our experience.
