Stayed here whilst in the area at BP pulse live and gotta say the staff were fab… phoned the morning of too ask over early check in as it was a long drive and they were marvellous at accommodating this… The was one minor issue but nothing to make a fuss of and again staff always happy to help The room was great but the views and quietness for me was really what finished off the place highly recommend

A traditional pub in a pretty location on the Stratford Birmingham Canal. Rooms are small. Food is good. Breakfast service a little slow.

Arrived for a quiet drink on Easter Monday about 2.30pm to a favourite pub/restaurant. Unfortunately, a table of 3 people + a dog spoilt it for everyone there. The animal barked loudly continuously. The staff were put in a helpless position. Children were upset.May I suggest that you have a policy that dogs must be quiet & under control or their owners will be asked to leave to avoid offence to other patrons.Thank you..

We had a fantastic stay her on valentines night - the food was exceptional and reasonably priced -and the service was brilliant. The decor of the restaurant/pub was really really nice too. The rooms although small were clean and comfortable and the cleaning staff were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We will defo be back! Thank you

We had a fab overnight stay here. We were welcomed by a great team, looked after and all questions answered. Food and drinks were very good and value for money. Not cheap fried pub food. The breakfast was so good and tasty. We stayed in the lounge for a business meeting and were not disturbed. A good stay all round.

Despite some good points, overall we (my wife and I in our seventies) were very disappointed with our stay. We arrived late afternoon and were checked in to Room 2 promptly and politely. There was no offer to carry our bags upstairs. The room was cold although the heater was on and therefore not inviting. The refurbishment was successful; the room was clean, fresh with a very nice washroom. However it was very small and cramped. It was hard work shuffling between the bed and the walls unpacking our bags and working out where to put everything during the process. We turned up the heater and the room was pleasantly warm when we returned to it at about 11pm. We'd booked in for dinner but after being seated found the restaurant too cold to be comfortable (in spite of specifying a warm position when we booked online). The menu was very disappointing too so we reluctantly decided to leave and eat elsewhere. The bed was very comfortable and we had a good nights sleep although sound insulation leaves something to be desired. Breakfast was included in the price. Amazingly there was no cereal available which was all I wanted!! I still can't believe that they serve breakfast without a choice of cereals. I chose Egg Benedict. The eggs were nice and well cooked but the bread was dry and the mayonnaise unpleasant. My wife chose fruit with crème fraise. It was only when her breakfast arrived that she was told that they were out of crème fraise and no yogurt was available either. Oh dear! In summary the room was just about acceptable but the restaurant and food was a massive disappointment. Sadly, we won't be going back or recommending The Kings Arms to friends or family.

I booked the Innkeepers lodge mid last year, and was somewhat concerned at the reviews that were being posted, so i was slightly nervous during my journey to the hotel. Thankfully, my fears were misjudged, and i have to say that the entire stay was pretty much perfect. The staff were extremely welcoming, even though the Pub was very busy when we arrived. The room was outstanding (recently refurbished) and the standard of cleanliness was excellent. The bed was comfortable and a very quiet night. We had dinner in the Pub on two nights, both meals were excellent and the service was fantastic; particular mention to Bailey, a very pleasant young man and well deserving of employee of the month!. Breakfast was also very good, and Gayle looked after us extremely well. The best scrambled egg i have tasted in a long time!. Nothing was too much trouble during the stay, and after a very busy and tiring day at the NEC, it was good to return to comfortable surroundings!. I don't normally recommend accommodation to my friends and colleagues, as standards can slip so quickly, but for the King's Arms, i'll make an exception!! Looking forward to a return visit soon!

This was our second visit, but... Rooms way too small for a couple to have a comfortable stay. Walls between rooms too thin, could hear next door conversations etc. On first night, bar staff very surly and not at all welcoming when checking in. Basic beers had run out (bad bar management considering the season). We booked a table for 7 (reduced to 6) on Boxing day night for 7:30pm. On arrival, most ingredients for the meals required had run out had to keep changing our order; bad kitchen management considering the season. Meals arrived late. We were glad to leave!

Newly and beautifully renovated with a wide range of vegan options. Top quality food although serving ice cream in a saucepan seemed an odd choice!
