I have been asked to write a review which I am more than happy to do. I came into Morgan’s Lettings in the hope of finding somewhere to rent. Being completely new to Cardiff I felt quite nervous about the entire process. I met with Lucy on my first visit to Morgan’s and she was so helpful, I am now in a beautiful rental property which is perfectly suited to all my needs. The service I have received so far has been exceptional. The team have also been more than willing to help with any queries I’ve had and Ive received nothing but excellent service. In specific, Lucy has gone above and beyond in all manners and has made my rental process completely seamless. I would highly recommend Morgan’s to anyone looking for a rental property, very professional service from the offset.
Avoid at all costs. You will get a streamlined and professional service up until the point of moving in then expect a terrible service from then on. Lots of hidden fee's that add up, reluctant to give you a year contract so they can cash in on £60 renewal fees every 6 months which is them reprinting the document. God forbid anything goes wrong with the property, you're on your own. We've been without an oven for a month and a half now, they're aware of the problem and make promises to do something about it every time I chase them but nothing comes of it. Our toilet was leaking another time, that was fun. We we're going back and forth by email to organise sorting the issue (when I say back and forth I mean 1 reply per week if you're very fortunate) and then nothing. Turns out the agent had moved to another job without informing any of the tenants she was talking to. It sounds like the obvious solution is to ring them or be face to face, it isn't. Without email evidence they basically deny any memory of a conversation and no action is taken. Its a shame because we love the property itself but we will be getting out as soon as possible. In summary: Unprofessional and Useless
Edited remove. Was a higher star rating. Proffesional with all moving in arrangements. However that's when the professionalism ended. Our washing machine gave up the ghost and we had 4 weeks without one ( over one week of that was wasted with Morgans not informing the landlord) when they did arrange a washing machine they got the wrong size and type. Further along trying for renewal fees whilst on a rolling contract. Only plus is the leaving process was seamless and deposits received promptly. But as previous review , just hope nothing goes wrong .
As a tenant with a mostly private rental history I was originally weary of having to use a letting agent, however being new to the area I had little choice. I found, and still find (being a current tenant) dealing with Morgans a pleasant experience. There are various reviews below stating difficult paperwork and questioning costs, but if you take a few minutes to read what you're signing and ask as many questions as you can upfront you shouldn't have any difficulties. We are renting a property that has never been rented before, but Morgans have been very cooperative regarding changes and repairs to the property. My only niggle is the pre-inspection paperwork done on the property before we moved in was poor and needed a fair bit of adjusting, although I'm aware that this is done by a third party. All in all I have found dealing with Morgans a positive experience, and as with most things in life, read what you sign up for!
recently bought a house to rent out. Met loads of letting agents but my wife and I decided to go with Lucy Morgan and her team. My experinece as a tenant has been a positive one. A very professional approach to managing the tenancy including an ahead of the curve understanding of the implications of the Housing (Wales) 2014 Act, quick responses to repairs and maintenance requests and timely and reasonable approach to tenancy renewal. Zoe is excellent in her role.
