Yet another great stay for our 3 dogs! We left our dogs with Liz and the team for 3 weeks this time which is the longest weβve ever been away so was quite nervous about how they would get on. One of our dogs can be quite problematic and through using Morton Villa in the past we knew that they have the knowledge and experience to deal with her. When we picked the dogs up they were happy and healthy! One of our dogs had even managed to charm his way into being given his tablets in frankfurters! Of course they are going to be smelly after being in kennels, itβs to be expected but the main thing is they are healthy! If we had not found Morton Villa we probably would have not been able to go on our holiday. Another big thanks to the team for looking after our furry paws and we will return in the future!

Our Ro is quite a human reactive dog, but after multiple shirt and long stays. I can safely say we will never go to any other kennel. Ro has built such a trusting relationship with the owner Liz and a mutual understanding with the staff when she isn't there. She hasn't had any issues though and it fills us with joy knowing she's safe and sound

Really happy with Morton Villa Cattery. The staff were friendly and clearly care about the animals. The place is clean, well maintained, and my cat seemed relaxed and well looked after when I collected her. Would definitely use them again and recommend to others.

Wonβt be using this place again as our dogs have not been exercised or fed appalling our dog was so skinny on pick up and will no longer return. Hard pads mean never left there kennel or even been on any grass. They still smelt and coats remained the same as Iβd left them washed totally unacceptable

If i could give no stars I would. I would like to say first of all I was attracted to Morton villa because i did look at the reviews. How ever unfortunately I did not see the negative reviews. We have a German shepherd who is 18 months old. He is cheeky playful and quite a character. We trialled Hunter for an overnight stay so that he would also know that we were to pick him up and not leave him there. The overnight stay Hunter seemed fine and unphased by his visit, so we were happy to allow him to stay when we went on holiday. We left Hunter there for eleven days. Our biggest regret! When we got Hunter back as expected he was crazily excited to see us. we had booked Hunter into a groomers previously as we thought obviously being in a kennel he would need a good groom. Hunters condition was absolutely disgusting. Straight from the kennels he went to be groomed and the first thing he did was lap up water without stop for a break and finished the bowl and took more water! the remarks were when did he last have water! he had lost also a considerable amount of weight his rear end I could feel his bones .I know that a couple of days he may have been slightly fed up and could have been off his food but this was definitely not that . Hunter took approx. 2 weeks to start socialising with us properly we gave him as we always do lots of affection lots of hugs ,but he just retreated to his area. Someone who i know who lives in Denholme I told about the experience said I wish you had said because her dog had a bad experience there and she says she often walks past the fields and has never! seen a dog playing in there once in fact she said she saw a member of staff once stood there with their hands in their pockets and the dog just sat on a bench just looking out not exercising at all. This is when I realised when I dropped Hunter off for his overnight visit there was a dog just waiting at the fence clearly looking out for the owner. This was the case when I dropped Hunter off the second time dropping him off and the time we picked him up! dogs clearly looking out for their owners rather than playing in the field. Hunter clearly was deprived off human interaction. I know that this is not everyone's experience but it definitely was ours and i feel dreadfully guilty for leaving him there and getting back a shell of the dog we took there on day one. Thankfully he is now back to his playful self. I left a voicemail for Morton villa explaining everything i have explained in this review. I have had no response from Morton villa.

Cannot fault this place, I was shown around the Cattery by Liz and was comfortable with what I saw, I have boarded my 2 cats a few times now, sometimes a couple of days and sometimes longer, both my babies have always come back clean, well fed and well cared for. Peace of mind knowing I can go on holiday and they are safe, secure and looked after. Liz and the team are very friendly and caring for all animals boarded here.. 5* to Liz and the team at Morton Villa

My dog has stayed here twice. He can be human reactive and I was worried about leaving him, but we had no problems at all. Liz and Victoria really looked after him and when we picked him up they said he hadn't been reactive at all. He has come back full of beans, clean and happy. When we arrived for our second stay, he ran past me to say hello to the staff without even saying bye.
