Really helpful staff, always friendly and calm. Can see they care about the animals. I'm a new cat owner and everyone here is really understanding.

Gatehouse is a fantastic vets. They were recommended by family who have always been very happy with their services. Recently we got a kitten who was much younger than advised and he became very unwell and almost died from a virus. I was so so grateful and impressed by the care received at Haworth Gatehouse by Amelia Robertson and the staff who saved him. He is now happy and full of life. The staff really love animals and are friendly and kind. They are open about costs which are very good value. Amelia and the other workers are so loving and kind and clearly love what they do. Brilliant service by amazing people. Thank you

Dont fall for the same trap. The 2 nurses in the morning didnt have a clue what they were doing. This is just a money spin for the practice. We were phoned daily for a mature dog health check. The urine sample should be covered in the pet plan that we already have, as is the teeth examination Charged for sedation tablets thar didn't work. No bloods taken, and they couldn't check her teeth due to the mussle apparently. Which they know she has everytime she goes to the vet, but she was taking treats from the nurse when it was off.Do not fall for this expensive, futile money making, spin.

The veterinary staff are very caring. But I wish the costing had been much clearer on my last visit. My cat became sick very quickly so I brought him in. He was diagnosed with pancreatitis. I asked the vet what was the suggested course of action (treatment and then further tests to determine diabetes) I was only asked if the cat was insured (he wasn’t) and I wasn’t clearly advised on the fees and what his treatment would cost and actually if there was any point in putting him through it without knowing if he had diabetes. I just wanted my cat to be well again. In hindsight I feel he shouldn’t have received treatment until we could test for diabetes properly. His chance of survival plummeted with the diagnosis on day 2. I knew it would be expensive. I steeled myself when I paid over £700 on day one. On the way out the receptionist said “oh, they’ve miss charged something but it’ll sort itself out tomorrow when the fees build up again” My heart broke when I heard this because £700 was a stretch but more (potentially the same again?) was going to be impossible. I went home, spent the night looking after the cat and crying my eyes out. I called and spoke to the vet in the morning. I got very clear on what was needed next. A diabetes test then decide if it wasn’t diabetes could I foot the bill of up to another 4 days in hospital. The diagnosis was diabetes and we put him to sleep. Having reflected on this for over a week I feel the veterinary staff were very caring but it took for me to explicitly ask what costs I was looking at for me to be clear on the financial implications You might be reading this and thinking “well that’s stupid, why no insurance” Insurance would have been about £1800 over his life time so overall, on this occasion we were better off not being insured. I just wish the fee structure was clearer and perhaps the treatment plan vs potential outcome vs outlay had been considered. I’m not a vet so I don’t not the price of treatment or medication. I asked them what the best course of action was. I wish that had been discussed a bit like “it’s this treatment which will be roughly £x” And whilst I loved my cat very very dearly I still need to be able to pay bills and put food on the table. The potential care plan was unaffordable.

Lovely vet and staff. Made me and my pet feel comfortable and didn't rush us. Saw us at very short notice and took time in listening and examining my cats condition.

A very pleasant experience going to the vets with our little black cat. She never seems overly stressed by everything that happens (a little hiss when getting an injection). I would highly recommend Gatehouse Veterinary Group. We use the Haworth surgery.

Receptionist was very welcoming and organised the waiting area to accommodate my dog, which doesn't like other dogs too near him, so every pet and owner felt safe and happy. Vet was really nice and seemed very knowledgeable.

Amelia did the kind thing for my beautiful boy today and she was just absolutely wonderful. She reassured ALL of us and my baby left with dignity and surrounded by love. Terry gave us a few desperately needed few weeks with him after diagnosing oral melanoma. I still have 2 pets I will still be using this fantastic vets group. Thank you again Amelia, I could not have done today without your kind heart.
