Been to Turpins a couple of times now. On this occasion I had the fillet steak which is one of the steaks from a good steak selection on the menu. This was more than filling on its own, however it wouldn’t be right without a cheeky pudding at the end which I just managed to fit in. I went for the Apple pie with Ice cream. An excellent wine menu, the Malbec of course with the steak was a perfect match. The staff were great, we managed to get a table at quite short notice in what was quite a busy evening. Well worth a visit

Haven't been to Turpins for a while but it's always consistently good regardless. Saturday night it was quite busy but we were served quickly and attentively. The menu is bigger than before with plenty of choice. We had starters of mini camembert in puff pastry and the jumbo king prawns in chilli and garlic, followed by mains of pork belly and vegan chicken pea and sweet potato curry. Food was tasty, hot and good sized portions. Prices are reasonable still for the quality.

Went here on a Monday evening and there was no more than 10 people in the restaurant/bar but based on its location its understandable. The food I had was pretty exceptional & full of flavour & so was my partners. Unfortunately, the steak we received was very fatty and for the price was dissapointing. I can only put this down to the chefs trying to get rid of bad bits of meat due to how quiet it was. The upside, we did receive a free desert which was decent, but nothing to shout about. Service from our waiter was good, nothing more to be said. If youre looking for posher pub food, turpins is a good shout, not the best but not the worst.

Amazing. Service could not be flawed, menu top notch. Prompt service & nothing was too much (and I was quite fussy!) Food quick & between courses attentive. All food was 100% top. My only "niggle" (and it's me being anal) drinks should be served on a tray & not by hand.

Great food but poor service! Firstly the place and food was epic as you can see in my pictures but what let the place down was the amount of staff just standing around the bar area waiting for work/looking know there phones. Thr worse part was I needed to chase them for our drinks order and the bill twice! Would we come back........ its 50/50 as the food was bloody lovley.

A delicious lunch, spur of the moment. Lunch for 3 adults and one small child came to just shy of £100 and we didn't drink or have desserts so be prepared! Food was very good though and service was excellent. The open plan dining room feels a but like a garden centre cafe though... feel quite exposed.

Beautiful food, lovely decor and atmosphere and good service. Portion sizes could be better, multiple people in our party of 13 felt that the portion sizes were small for the price, for example, £8 starter for 2 croquettes. Would definitely visit again as the food was lovely, everyone in our party really enjoyed their meal.

Everytime we come here, the food is excellent. Service is quick, prices are reasonable. My favourite restaurant in the area.

Excellent place. Friendly staff and fantastic food. Would have given 5 stars but was a warm day and the air con off. Lovely place for a special dinner.

Probably best steak I ever had. Food was just delicious, staff friendly and professional. Was very busy but still incredibly organised place. Definitely recommend and will be returning!
