Been using West Mount since moving to the area 2 years ago. Always great service from the friendly receptionists. All the vets we've met have been lovely. Same day appointments available for emergencies and plenty of flexibility with appointments into the early evening when it comes to regular check ups/vaccines

I just want to say a big massive thank you to West Mount vets in Mytholmroyd. I had to take my baby girl, Hettie, there as she hadn't been well for a few days. I had to make the biggest decision in my life, to put her to sleep. Ed, the vet, was so kind and reassuring in helping me to make this decision. He had a way about him that made you feel he had your pets interest at heart. He didn't push me in any way and gave me time with my baby girl, nothing was rushed at all. The nurse was fantastic too, both telling me the steps that were to be done and both had empathy. I cannot fault this surgery at all, even the receptionist was very kind. Once again, thank you for your help with Hettie. She was very well looked after.
All four of my dogs go here and always leave happy. They even pull now to go into the vets. Don't have any anxiety issues at all. My husband and i are treated with a smile as soon as you walk through the door and the dogs get lots of attention ☺️ Dogs are very happy, we're very happy would definitely recommend this vets to anyone.
Such lovely friendly staff who accommodate are cats everytime we come in. They put up with us huuumans.
Very positive experience - the staff on reception were lovely, could get an appointment quickly, and the vet was really gentle with our cat and took time to explain everything to us.
I brought my hamster a couple months ago because she hadn’t been as active as usual, she was full of life on the way to the vets. The vet was extremely heavy handed with her, and basically squeezed her to death, and once she had passed away the vet was just flinging her around like she was nothing, it was traumatising. The vet wasn’t sympathetic at all. I had to pay £50 for them to practically kill my hamster, and the vets didn’t show me any empathy. I definitely won’t be taking any future animals there.
Took our cats Cassie and Tiggy to the Nurse Clinic for worming and the veterinary nurse offered to clip their claws. She was so patient and careful with them and both cats were clipped without incident.
We always feel like our boy is in safe hands here. They are helpful, responsive, and just great overall. Any questions are answered in great detail and with patience. The phone is always answered really quickly. Wouldn't take our dog anywhere else. He's been with them from a puppy-- neutered, vaccinated, check ups, etc-- all good experiences for us and for him.
