My dog nearly died with them and I was only told from the vet. Tried to call them over 20 times and never got answered. When I finally got through to the owner via his staff on Facebook he was awful and kept saying 'I'm not a vet what more do you want me to do?' When I replied with i want you to at least tell me my dog is so unwell he's dying he said 'I'm not a vet I didn't know he was dying' but my vet said my dog was collapsed on the floor and barely responding. Definitely avoiding them in the future. ETA: after leaving this review to make people aware of my own personal negative experience, the owner Matt used the contact info he had from my previous visit to leave me a voicemail threatening solicitors and calling me disgusting.

I boarded my two dogs with the kennels at the end of June with clear, typed and concise instructions on their specific needs. Upon collecting them on Sunday morning I asked the guy in charge how they had been to which he replied, “I Don’t Know”. That was my first warning of concern. I was handed one of the dog’s bowls back and saw traces of meat in its base. The dogs are fed a mixture of wet meat and biscuits in the evening and biscuits only in the morning. Either the kennels hadn’t followed my feeding instructions or most likely they hadn’t washed the bowl up from the previous evening resulting in wet meat still being present in the bowl. As the weather had been particularly hot during the previous day’s, the remaining food had probably been visited by flies laying their eggs in it and spreading germs etc. That was my second warning of concern. I had left some bedding with the dogs which when I was handed it back, it was wet, wet with the strong, distinctive smell of urine. My dogs never toilet on their bedding and consequently as the dogs had been sleeping on their bedding, they too were wet with urine and smelly. That was my third warning of concern. Both of my dogs then suffered with diarrhoea for the next three days, possibly as a result of their food bowls not having been washed? My dogs very rarely have diarrhoea if at all but the fact that both of the dogs had diarrhoea simultaneously is more than a coincidence in my opinion. That was my fourth warning of concern. One of my two dogs was also limping very slightly upon being collected which worsened during the following week. Despite giving him medication and limiting his walks, one week on he is still not right and is now going to the vets for an assessment. That was my fifth warning of concern. This is my honest, factual review of my personal experience of these kennels. I personally would not use them again.

I took our dog Murphy to Sunnymeade in September for a two weeks stay. It was his first stay in a Kennels and I was apprehensive about leaving him but was assured he'd be okay. When collecting him it was quick handover and take the money. The girl who fetched him from the kennel wasn't able to give me an y feedback on how he was during his stay. I got him home to discover he'd totally lost his voice and was badly coughing. I took him to the vets and they said he had kennel cough. This was six weeks ago and he's almost back to normal now. I rang the kennel after the visit to the vets and told them what had happened, they said they were sorry to hear that but they had no sign of kennel cough at the kennel.

Checked reviews for here as first time leaving my fur baby. Spoke to friendly lady and my husband was allowed to look at the Kennels which he was more than happy with. However when we collected our dog he had dirty paws and ear's and was nothing like he was when we left him. He had a scratch on his nose and it has taken him over a week to get back to his happy fun self. When the man who handed him back was asked how the dog had been he just said he didn't know. Upset that the service we got was not what we had expected. Don't like to write negative reviews but really not happy.

Carlo my cockapoo enjoys going to Sunnymead. The staff are helpful and we're good about following feeding instructions. Carlo is better at being left now and enjoys playing with other dogs in field
