The staff are friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, between us we had steak, surf n turf and a garlic bread. The steaks were cooked how we liked it and the garlic bread was lovely. Would definitely recommend and come back. Thank you
I had a fantastic meal at The Alma Inn! The food is outstanding – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The menu offers a great variety, with generous portions and seasonal specials that really stand out. The pub has a cozy atmosphere and friendly staff, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed meal. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend it for delicious food and a great experience!
True little gem of a place. Stayed here over many weeks while working in the area during the week. Excellent comfy beds! Very quiet location. Fab food. Great staff. A little gem hidden in the hills of the Calder valley.
We visited on Sunday as a last minute booking and had a wonderful time. We all enjoyed the Sunday lunch menu, both quantity and quality was excellent. Service was fabulous, we felt well looked after and the atmosphere was spot on. Lovely spot, albeit a little hard to reach on top of the hill -it's worth it!
Beautiful location with amazing views. Loved the outdoor space, great for a night under the lights with your drinks. The rooms were beautifully decorated. Parking exactly outside. Both dinner and breakfast exceptional! Will definitely visit again.
As it's local to the self-catering place we stayed at we popped here for a celebratory meal. It serves generous portions of fairly typical pub food. The service is great, but even on a Monday evening outside tourist season it was pretty busy, so probably wise to book
Beautiful rooms with excellent views. So clean and tidy. All staff where very friendly and nice. Main meals and breakfast was excellent. All really fresh and beautifully cooked. Would highly recommend and I will definitely return in the near future
I stayed here for work recently on a Tuesday night. The room was clean, comfortable and had a large bath and shower. The surroundings are very peaceful and quiet, I had a great sleep. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. I also had dinner here and would strongly recommend it! The pizzas are homemade and particularly great.
Amazing welcome, care, and service during our family celebration! We couldn't rate The Alma and it's beautiful setting highly enough and will definitely be back to this cosy, mega dog friendly pub, thank you for making our stay so special ❤️
