We had to put our cat down very quickly, due to declining health & we were given no idea of cost, which turned out to be £140 for euthanasia. Very distressing when you have such a large fee to end suffering the humane way. Can't say I would recommend sorry

Agree with the sentiments of others, bunch of scammers. Charging £140 for antibiotics, when I can purchase them from VetUK for £30. They must be buying these antibiotics at wholesale for £15 or less, and are trying to 10x their price to customers. Vile company.

This bunch of charlitons has taken over what used to be a great vets practice in Scotland. We lost our lovely cat due to being pushed into a dental procedure despite having a heart murmur and he endured three days of hell before having to be put down with heart failure. It cost over £1200 to basically torture a cat for money. He didn't deserve it and we are still so angry at the way he was treated. A dreadful company who are only after profits and put in place targets for the vets to push for procedures to line their pockets. RIP our lovely boy.

This company is a disgrace. They buy up great independent vets, then increase prices and reduce opening hours and available appointments in an effort to get you to use their "out of hours" service which charge extortionate rates. Due to this policy, they are likely responsible for the deaths of hundreds, if not thousands of pets where owners can not afford their inflated prices. I tried to make an appointment today for a sick cat and they can't see me at my local vets for 5 days but conveniently they can see me at their out of hours service for a fee of over £300 plus what ever treatment is needed. Absolutely shocking company.

Cambridge Vetinary Group are part of Independent Vetcare Ltd and are good vets - however do check the costs with them as they do not publish any information. I have just had to have a lot of dental work done on one of my cats and in my stupidity did not double check ALL the costs before hand. £750 for the teeth to be extracted, antibiotics not given so went back for the checkup with a very sick cat - £450 to be held in for the day for blood tests which came back negative and given antibiotics which cleared everything up and then £65 for a checkup I was told she had to have but all it was was a check on her temperature which I could do at home. Very unhappy with the lack of transparency.

Stay away! Always had caring local vets doing their best for the animal. Not any more since the money makers took over. Feel sorry for the caring vets working for them who must now behave without empathy, sympathy and care for owner and pet, and just make more profit for their employers. Shameful.

Since IVC took over our local vets the cost of medication has gone through the roof. Overnight the cost of a drug for our pony went up 60% It's a shame we have to leave them after over 20 years as a customer but luckily we've found a great local independent vet to treat our horses.

Yesterday I took my dog for his annual healthcheck/vaccination to the veterinary practice I’ve been using for 30 years and discovered that they had been taken over by this bunch of extortionists - I was charged double the amount I paid last year and on checking around ascertained that fee was also double the amount being charged by any other vet in the area. In the past I’ve always been very happy with my vet, the prices were reasonable and I’ve recommended them to many of my friends. I won’t be recommending them again, and am registering my animals with another vet. Such a shame that companies like this can price previously excellent vets out of the market

This Company took over our vet on the Isle of Wight. The practice shuts this evening, Friday 7 October. The local press broke the story Wednesday 5th and we received a text yesterday to let us know. The result being that we now don't have a vet, as their website says "until further notice". Apart from emergency treatment what are we supposed to do about routine treatments - flea & tick, worming, jabs etc? There should have at least been some discussion with the remaining vet practices on the island before leaving us in the lurch!!! Disgusting treatment, and if I could give no rating at all, I would.

We have just paid £330 for a health certificate for two dog to go to Europe. In February we paid just £180 for the same thing, the same dogs going to the same destinations. The bill has nearly doubled. The vet at our practice in Shropshire was one we have used for over 30 years, they were to be trusted and have given excellent service in the past. However, to almost double a bill for a paper document that is required to travel into the EU is sharp, extortionate practice by the company that took over our practice. I hope that other pet owners check prices first, before they commit. We will now be looking for another vet that is prepared to charge a sensible price for the work they do. This company is all about profit not care.
