My pet Beatrice recently had her spay and the front of house and vet staff were both so amazing with our baby but also in assuring us that all would be okay. They are so clear with what will be happening with prices as well as her treatment and aftercare. I received photos of Bea from Beth while she was with them and it was so comforting to know she was happy and safe. Thank you guys!!!

I am writing to express my disappointment with the recent care my cat received at Vets for Pets Cardiff. Within the past month, we have spent over Β£2,000 on oral surgeries for our cat. Following the most recent procedure, we noticed that the area on our catβs leg β which had been shaved for a drip β had been shaved so closely that the skin was left raw and sore. When we returned to the practice to address this issue, we were told that we need to buy a cream to treat the sore at a cost of Β£32 despite it being caused by the clinicβs own actions. We provided photos and videos as evidence, but unfortunately, the team declined to take responsibility. I have photos of the sore the same day as the surgery took place however we were told the cat had caused the sore yet you can clearly see the raw skin in the photos.

I brought my dog to Vets4Pets Newport Road after a rough experience at another vet in Cardiff. There are a few things I appreciate about this hospital: - The vets are skilled with good bedside manner, and I was impressed that they offer sonography, radiology, and orthopaedics. They also take the time to talk through your pets care with you and make sure that you understand everything. - They offer emergency services. Although my dog's case was pushed back a day, they helped another pup with an urgent surgery. I am from the States, and these cases nearly always get bumped to emergency clinics and speciality hospitals. - They respect my knowledge as a licensed vet nurse in the States. Other vets dismissed any concerns or knowledge I had of vet med. I've been in the field for 16 years, and I am a skilled nurse, so I appreciate that being recognized. - Their prices are reasonable. - Most of the staff handled it well when I was upset when my old dog's case was deferred to the following week (there may be some lingering irritation with me from some staff, but that is okay). The only issue I had was with an estimate being a little off, but that happens in vet med. They were able to fix some things to honor the price they quoted me.

Really unhappy with the service I received yesterday. Paid Β£122 for an emergency appointment for my kitten, to be told to come back the next day as heβll need a operation. I returned the next day at 10am, my kitten was only seen to at 4PM, which means he was starved all day. I get a call saying that theyβve made a mistake and it wasnβt what they thought it was and had put my cat under anaesthetic for no reason. I then had to pay Β£220 for them doing nothing as it was a bee sting.

Massive store, all types of pet food, snacks & toys are on display here. Plenty of parking spaces available. Pet problems are diagnosed quickly & efficiently; an enjoyable experience in as much as it can be, will be a return customer for sure.

All the staff are very friendly and bubbly, except one lady on reception who Iβve noticed a few times is usually miserable. Sheβs of Asian ethnicity, middle aged, doesnβt have any personality when interacting with customers.

Love this place. The vets all take interest in my rats, which I appreciate is not necessarily an animal that everybody is keen to deal with. They have all been lovely and all explained their past experience with rats (personal and professional). I feel really confident that my rats are treated just as well as any other pet. Previously, one of the vets offered to waive my emergency fee because I had taken two trains to get over that day, which I was endlessly grateful for. They were kind, collected and really helpful. They had a genuine interest in them, asking about their lives etc, which made me feel really satisfied with the girls being registered with them.

The reception staff are always lovely and helpful, and the vets are very kind to my cats even if they're being fussy. I also love that they don't scruff cats here, as places I've been in the past have been rather rough. Great care plans with good benefits too!
