   It was not apparent what was wrong with my dog, however he was in considerable discomfort. The vet I saw took her time in a thorough examination. There was no rush, it was all in the time that my dog could handle. She explained everything she was doing as she went along and ensured that myself and my dog were at ease. Further investigations were required and all options were discussed with me to make a choice. I left him at the practice and the girls on reception assured me it was okay to call anytime for an update, more than once if I was concerned. Once all tests were completed a diagnosis was offered and a way froward discussed. Again I was provided with the options and there was no pressure, it was all about the wellbeing of my dog. I really appreciate the work they did and empathy they showed towards myself and my dog. This is not the first occasion I've had to use them for an emergency, and every time they have provided exactly what was needed.

   We have been using usk vets for the last 5 years for 2 of our dogs. The last 6-12 months have been exceptionally poor. Disinterested clinicians, quick enough to suggest ‘monthly injections’ & ‘daily tablets’ but with no real answer to what it is. £105 later, we’re no further forward. Would avoid.

   I have the most amazing vet in Stephen Holland and he is supported by Jackie the diabetic nurse. They have saved my dogs life and have tried their best to limit costs as I’m on a fixed income. They are consistent, caring and always ready to explain everything in triplicate if necessary. Nothing is too much trouble for them! Excellent 5 stars!

   I appreciate that the vet took time to read through the notes and history of my pet that another previous vet sent over. Vet Answered my questions. Never felt rushed. Parking is easy. Building is under shade trees so it’s not hot inside Even when outside weather is hot. Place is kept very clean. It was freshly mopped floors when I arrived at 1pm. All staff was friendly and helpful. I liked that there were clean blankets in cat area sprayed with that feline pheromone spray that is meant to relax them. There’s a lovely church nearby that I went to pray in while they had my pet. Nice place to pray for healing and a bible I opened that read “the lord honours his loyalty and meekness and he will return home with joy.”

   Excellent vets with a very sympathetic and informative approach. Our dog had previously had failed ligaments in his hind legs. These were operated on with total success giving him a completely new lease on life.

   This was my first visit to this veterinary practice and my first impressions were excellent. Plenty of car parking, clean facilities, caring & helpful staff. Fran (vet) was really kind & tolerant of my questions and both reception staff (whose names I don't know) were lovely. It is early days for me but based on first impressions I would recommend without hesitation.
