My senior cat Lily came in as an emergency appointment on the Saturday due to really bad pain in her mouth. She needed emergency dental with a specific vet due to her being high risk. The team at Shepherds had her booked in with a vet (Rachel) by the Wednesday, she has hyperthyroidism so was high risk with her age also so my nerves were shot bringing her in Wednesday! But I was reassured Rachel was a quick and experienced vet to be caring for my girl. The team were incredible, advising me over the phone night and day on what to look out for and giving support. Rachel did an amazing job on my girl and sheβs back home recuperating now. Iβd also like to thank Laura, we were with you guys last year and have recently moved back and Iβve seen Laura as our most common vet since joining you guys. Her detail in information and willingness to help me figure out my best options financially was so kind. All of the vets at Shepherds have shown such genuine kindness to all of my cats and I cannot recommend them highly enough! Thank you all for your amazing work. See you next week for my second cats emergency dental!

Sadly had to put our 16 year old baby boy to sleep Friday. The vet was unbelievably amazing and all the staff were there for us and supportive. I couldn't of asked for better for our boy.

Our dog decided to take herself for a walk, we're on holiday at Trecco Bay....we suddenly realised she had gone, during our time of searching someone found her and took her to Shepherds Veterinary hospital...she was looked after so well and we had to produce evidence before we could collect her....which I loved to see. She is now back in her bed in the van and is looking worn out. But a HUGE thankyou to the ladies who were working tonight .....absolutely brilliant treatment. Thankyou

I had been going to this vets for years, when it was just the Pontyclun branch. Only for routine things though. After noticing my female cat had lost a small amount of weight around her usually ample rear, being a Type 1 diabetic myself, I panicked and took her in to be checked. The young male vet took bloods on my insistence and. Wanted to rule out diabetes. He called with the results, which were normal for a cat that hates the car and vets, but he went out if his way to scare me into thinking it was something dar worse! Three sets of "inconclusive" blood and other tests later, it's been over a year and my cat is perfectly fine. Also, they did things like offer me more pain killing medication for my kitten who was spayed, I waited for it in reception infront of the desk and was handed it before going home BUT was not told at any point there was a charge for it. Until they send a week later and demanded payment. They said microchipping was mandatory when it's not amount other things. They will guilt you frighten you into having uneccesary tests and try and squeeze as much money out of you as they can. No apologies when they make a mistake and no accountability. Avoid!

Excellent service again, quickly dealt with my princess (dog) as thumb kind of nail had ripped on carpet gripper and was in a lot of pain, took fabulous amounts of empathy with her and as quick as possible too minimise pain and suffering time, all my dogs past and future will be seen here, many thanks.

On first entering, what a lovely large space with a designated cats corner where there are cubes for your cat basket to go. They even have the destressing cat spray for you to use. Very easy check in and very quick The lovely person who examined Scrappy my cat was absolutely lovely and very thorough before administering her yearly jabs. It was our first visit as recently moved to the area and I'm happy to say we have found the vets to look after our animal family member
